Most people, when offered help, refuse it. Most people, when needing help, cannot ask for it. AI does not fit into this mindset at all. Does anyone study human behaviour anymore (other than purchase trends)? I’m tired of all these new widgets being forced upon us and I’m tired of trumps billionaire media owners telling us that they are good for you. Give me a slate and abacus over this dystopic bullshit any day.

I’m mostly pissed that when the bubble pops, the rich will still be rich. People will suffer, but not the people who deserve to suffer.

Investors tend to be rich, they’ll manage. Who ends up suffering is people who recently bought a home and are knee deep in debt once the economy tanks and everything goes to shit. If they can’t service their loans and they live in a country that doesn’t give a fuck they’ll be thrown on the street, and suddenly you have a homelessness crisis where the only thing people did wrong was to attempt to have a life. Meanwhile the people behind the AI bubble will just install taller fences around their private islands and face no worse consequences than that of being even more hated than they already are.

Only if we accept it. There is no reason we can’t take it out on them at the ballot box, take back power, and then use that power to crush them. All we need are political leaders with the courage and strength to do what we are SCREAMING at them to do.

Jeffries is now saying that if they take back the House, he doesn’t intend to impeach Trump, which means he probably doesn’t plan to impeach anyone else either. If he won’t commit to fight MAGA, that makes him ineligible for his job.

Jeffries’ primary is on June 23, and he is being challenged by 27 year old Chi Osse, who just filed paperwork to run against him a couple of days ago. Osse is a Democratic Socialist, a Mamdani follower, and with Mamdani killing it in NYC, and Jeffries performing as badly as if he was being paid by MAGA, he might actually have a chance. I can’t believe Jeffries constituents are that thrilled with the half-assed job he’s been doing for YEARS.

Primary him out, and send a shocking message to ALL weak incumbent Democrats: Get in the game, or get the fuck out.

Indeed, Jeffries seems to be doing more dancing than dodging out there.

It’s a bold strategy, cotton, let’s see if it pays off for him!

Huzzah! Love to see it, folks. The only thing that could be better is if AOC decides to primary Schumer.

Let’s see not only republicans getting absolutely punished in November, but also establishment Dems getting punished by progressives in the primaries.

Anyone want to place bets on how tankies will somehow twist this into yet another reason why they won’t vote?

They don’t get to “decide” that, we do. They can announce it, but we don’t have to accept it, and we won’t.

We have NEVER cancelled an election in America, not even during the Civil War, or WWII. That is a BRIGHT RED LINE.

Any suspension or cancellation of elections means INSTANT Civil War, and we go directly after the wealthy and their political and law enforcement stooges.

They get to decide to station ICE agents at polling stations and intimidate everyone who looks like they might vote for a Democrat. They’ll get to decide to not certify the results of elections they don’t like, too.

And we are not organized enough to fight back. The only thing Democrats might do is take them to Court to stop ICE deployment at polling stations or force them to accept election results, and the fascists own the Supreme Court.

            We need to get ready.

Your fears are valid, but the fact that we already recognize the threat is half the battle. During the Biden administration, they ignored the obvious growing threat, but that’s not happening this time.

Trump made an enormous mistake firing all those DoJ lawyers, because many of them have formed boutique law firms with specializations, who are suing the administration, and winning, a LOT. Jeffries may be sitting on his fat, stupid brain, but these lawyers aren’t. They are fighting back, and winning, and we can help them by not losing hope, and voting HARD in November.

Hopefully Jeffries loses his primary on June 23, and they choose someone else to lead the House, like AOC. He was running unopposed until a 27 year old Mamdani supporter filed papers last Monday. Jeffries is now in the race for his life against a young candidate with very popular support. Jeffries is in real trouble. Now is the time to send a STRONG message, and scare the crap out of the Dems. They’ll learn to do what we hired them to do, or they’re fired.

And don’t worry about ICE Apes at the polls, nobody is scared of them, except undocumented immigrants, and NONE of them are at the polls, so they have no reason to interact with American Citizen Voters at all. They’ll just be subjected to an entire day of trash talk and humiliation, as thousands of embarrassing videos get uploaded. I doubt they last an hour, before the humiliating videos hit the Internet, and their bosses pull them out.

              Tell them:

Your kids HATE you for what you do, and will hate you FOREVER for it.

Your wife hates you because she’s lost friends over you.

Everybody you know has lost all respect for you.

Nobody you know respects you, except these other losers.

You will carry the shame of this job with you for the rest of your life.

The people at church despise you.

Nobody will play with your kids because of you.

Your kids get bullied at school because of YOU.

Etc. Make it deeply, viscerally personal. MAGAs are one of the few groups for whom bullying is not acceptable, and encouraged, but also Patriotic. Amti-vaxxers, too. So bully them relentlessly. Make them cry.

They’ll go after anyone who doesn’t look like they vote Republican.

Anyone who isn’t white might need to carry several forms of ID to not be arrested by ICE at polling stations, and if they get arrested then they’ll just be held for long enough that the polling stations close. I’m trans and I don’t really match my government issued ID, there’s a nonzero chance I’ll be arrested when I try to vote. Or maybe I’ll be killed, it’s not like ICE hasn’t killed other citizens.

                You aren’t taking this seriously.

I’m taking it DEAD seriously. I just don’t think American Citizens showing on Election Day on THIS PARTICULAR ELECTION DAY are going to take any crap. ICE is going to find a very hostile environment if they show up.

If they get violent, I think it is very likely that they will be met with violence. This is LITERALLY our VOTES. I can’t think of anything more worthy of getting violent about. If we won’t fight for our right to VOTE, directly in front of the POLLS, what will we fight for?

And that environment hurts their side just as bad as ours. Conservatives are notoriously cowardly, that’s why they’re conservatives - they are afraid of everything, and are desperate for protection - and MAGAs are worst of all. If there are threats of violence and riots at the polls, they are likely to stay home, which they are going to be inclined to do anyway.

ICE Apes at the polls is intimidation, nothing more, they probably won’t even show up.

Really? But OpenAI changed the number of images ChatGPT can generate in a day from five to ONE in an attempt to get more people to subscribe/pay. You’re telling me that didn’t work? Colour me shocked! (People I work with use it and were bitching about it around the office this week.)

I think it’ll push people the other way: off the platform, or to a competitor. Most people don’t want to pay for AI. We’re already paying higher costs for computer hardware, we shouldn’t have to pay for AI, too.

Competitor will give their services as a loss lead and suffer the same fate as OpenAI where they will need to raise the prices or limit the number of prompts.

No AI company has put the true cost of AI prompts. AI companies hope that as many corporations as possible will fully integrate their processes with AI, locking them into their ecosystem and milk them dry.
