Helper script (2nd link) is easier to use. simple AF (first link) is fully open source, but requires you to use another bed leveling probe - no open source „driver” for prtouch- the built in one (which is slow and not terribly accurate anyway).
I don’t think so. I haven’t built mine yet. JSN comes with a pretty long cable, so you could but just the probe in your well and keep ESP above ground to have Wi-Fi. You could battery power the ESP32 and use deep sleep to conserve battery (you don’t need to have probe reading every second or minute, right?). You could even try to use solar power to charge the battery. Possibilities are endless.
I’m going to try to mount a probe in a sewage tank - I have a few cables left leading to it. That means I don’t have to worry about power or Wi-Fi - Esp32 i going to be at home, the probe and its control board inter sewage tank.
They are at least resellable, which would not be true of pure digital. One could also argue that even regular media don’t always contain all the content needed to run the game (require a download to start it), and are not fit for archival purposes. I agree with other points. To me it’s especially stupid that you have to pay for your storage, and microSD express cards are not cheap (and games are getting pretty big, which is not weird).
I had them replace it 3 times before I got a working one. By the time it was delivered I’ve returned my Ender 3 V3 KE and got…K1. I am much happier with it though, and I’ve even mounted that CR-Touch on it at się point;)
Here’s another hotend link, the old one was dead indeed: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EQs5RNi
You can get very cheap MK8 nozzles for it, or get some better ones too. The hardened steel ones can handle the CF filaments really well, I’ve been using one for over a year now.
