Those 8 states are a big contributor to the current shitshow
Water is a chemical and crop dusters do actually dump other substances from aircraft. So, in a way, chemtrails are real. Just not in the way the conspiracy dumbasses think.
Quick, somebody tell these politicians about a highly addicting and dangerous chemical known as Dihydrogen monoxide with a kill rate of 100%. Ban DHMO! Save America!
/s
Yes, every terrorist in the history of mankind consumed DHMO! Ban this stuff immediately! /s
I heard that they found DHMO in hurricane Milton!
STOP VOTING FOR IDIOTS
I would suggest stop voting completely. Use non aggression principles, have a lot of guns for self defense. Stop paying involuntarily extortions/taxes to the criminal organization. The largest criminals organization (the government) won’t stop spending and getting further in debt. And taxes will increase further until UBI arrives. 😂
Not voting is the reason you guys are in that mess down there.
You think they give you a choice to pick the ruler who will really represent you? Quite delusional. How about full anarchy (life without rulers) and full self responsibility?
No i agree with that first sentence don’t get me wrong, but like the choice was Trump or not Trump… And a lot of people did nothing and let it happen
Also, are you saying not voting is how you get a life without rulers?
It is all about the mindset. Apply Non Aggression Principles and apply aggression only when you have to. I feel safer being surrounded with people who might have concealed guns on them all the time. In such society you think twice before doing something stupid and you start being more responsible for your actions.
Taxation is definitely a theft. You’re taxed from your salary, then you’re taxed purchasing goods or services, then you’re taxed for ownership of the property and then federal government (regardless which party) organize the wars and send billions (doing money laundering) to genocide people in Ukraine and occupied Palestine. The debt is growing together with percentage of taxes. Mango Mussolini (Trump) created another additional tax for you and me called tariffs. Everyone forgot already about the recent scamdemic COVID19. They all were doing it and a couple of presidents who didn’t want to participate were eliminated (Tanzania, Haiti). The country borders are imaginary lines where you need to ask for permission and a stamp in the passport then go through Nazi checkpoints (TSA) to be humiliated. Also they now started taking biometrics (that I declined so far). I’m sure it is not being done for your safety. They silently create a massive surveillance state around you…
“No victim - No crime” is my slogan. I said it once to a cop when he performed an act of aggression pulling me over for safely passing a couple of vehicles. He tries to say something about the law, I told him that I can write another law with my chicken scratch on the toilet paper. He understood me and agreed. Took my registration and driver’s license, checked, returned and let me go even without a verbal warning.
My bad I thought I was conversing with a sane person, but this all reads like a bunch of brain dead ramblings of a sov-cit type person and I’m sorry but I just don’t have the time to wade through all of that.
Didn’t even answer my question
Yeah, that’s a lot of dumb ideas. Not paying taxes puts me in prison… all the rest of that goes out the fucking window after that. Your plan sucks.
If you alone do it then yes, you get in trouble, but if only 10% of population will do it then things might change really quickly. Watch Larkin Rose on youtube.
Next thing: “out law hurricanes” …good luck with all that
… this article is kinda shit.
Says 8 states but doesn’t tell you which ones, just that Tennessee and Florida are 2 of them.
Says 8, tells us 2.
WHO ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO POINT AT AND LAUGH???
It probably isn’t hard to extrapolate what the other 6 states are if you know that Tennessee and Florida are 2 of the 8.
That reminds me of my favorite rock that prevents tiger attacks. I’ve had it with me for years and it works perfectly. Yet, whenever I bring it up, people make fun of me.
I remember that scene from an episode, too. Just not which episode it is. Pre season 10 I think?
Probably because you’re making references to a ~30 year old episode of a cartoon, as if it’s your own joke.
Oh, I forgot that every joke in the universe is supposed to be used just once.
Prohibit dispersion of chemicals or substances into the atmosphere to alter weather… hmmmm… you mean like carbon dioxide? Maybe this lawmaker will inadvertently help fight climate change?
/s
Let me get this straight. They are going to outlaw… water condensation. They are literally the grandpa from The Simpsons yelling at the clouds. Because chemtrails are basically just clouds. It’s just water vapor from the airplane engines condensing in cold atmosphere at high altitudes. Because it’s cold up there. They know it’s cold up there, right? Right? Imagine being a grown fucking adult and not knowing how this shit works. Go out in the winter and breathe with open mouth. You’re now breathing out chemtrails. you fucking dumbasses.
Ban dihydrogen monoxide!
Scientists have shown that those who come in contact with dihydrogen monoxide have a 100% fatality rate. Every single person that has come in contact with it dies.
It’s in all the food you eat! Big Food lobbies to protect their profits by using it in food production!
The real tragedy is the pollution. While there are areas of the world that are generally safe from dihydrogen monoxide in the environment, in my area there are literally rivers of the stuff with regular exposure to the air we breath.
It’s also extremely prevalent in areas of high humidity, further compounding sweaty asscrack syndrome.
Swamp-ass is real - raise awareness!
In all major US cities since the 1970’s that have a river in the downtown area, the percentage concentration of dihydrogen monoxide has been increasing! We keep finding more and more of it in parts per million in our river water. At what point will someone in our government stand up for us and say this is enough?!?
At what point will someone in our government stand up for us and say this is enough?!?
The problem is that dihydrogen monoxide has thousands of industrial and commercial uses. You’d be shocked at how many product from manufacturing all the way to food processing use the stuff at some point in their process.
It’s like 99.8% fatality ATM.
There is a latency period. Anyone exposed has been shown to die at a 100% rate.
I mean, yeah, but that’s just how things work out in everything.
thatsthejoke.jpg
No no, you see, chemtrails look and behave exactly like contrails. They’re entirely, completely, 100% indistinguishable from contrails. So now that theyve banned them, you can be sure that all those trails you see in the sky are pure contrails and you’ve got your local Republican politician to thank for it!
Its definitely not just that they want an easy win without actually having to do anything, do not look at the man behind the curtain!
See the problem is you’re using logic and reason backed up by facts. They need to hear loud buzzwords from talking heads.
Well technically not just water they also contain some chemicals from the exhaust. Ironically those same people don’t mind exhausts from cars or coal power plants.
Airliners don’t burn lead and that some bit of chemicals disperses at 30,000 ft. Bubba McSisterhump in his diesel pavement princess chooching up a giant cloud of black smoke directly in your face…somehow cool and owns the libs
These people are fucking exhausting
Exhaust-ing! Get it!? ahaha! … I’ll show myself out…
I dont think this is true. My understanding is that its excess jet fuel being jettisoned before landing to reduce weight. Not that thats any better, but its for saftey.
My understanding…
You’ve misunderstood.
The only time fuel is dumped by aircraft is during an emergency and either 1) needs to land somewhere unexpected and is far overweight for the runway, or 2) there is a situation where the landing is exceedingly dangerous and there’s a need to reduce weight and potential fireball size (e.g. landing gear failures).
Yeah pretty sure that’s not a thing.
Only for emergency landings. Airplanes are only fueled for a planned flight plus some reserve for economic reasons (carrying excess fuel means you consume more fuel and that costs airlines money). If you’re making a regular planned approach you’ve already used most of planned fuel and airplane is ready to land as is. For emergency landings soon after takeoff, landing at that time would mean airplane is too heavy and would probably destroy landing gear and damage fuselage/wings on touchdown and you don’t want that when you already have other problems. Only then they dump the excess fuel to get to the right landing load (weight). Source: I watch a lot of air crash investigations on TV.
Well if you can see condensed water vapor in open air, it’s most likely nucleating around something. And that something is probably the combustion products from the jet fuel. I don’t know exactly what each of those thousands of molecular structures are, but burning fuels in general can produce a whole host of compounds including Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) that can be rather carcinogenic. And that pollution most likely settles somewhere on the planet surface eventually.
As takeda said in another comment, it might not be worse than more local sources like cars or trains or power plants, but it’s very unlikely to just be water, and probably not healthy.
I’m not saying it’s a deliberate spread of chemicals and it’s certainly not the mind control nonsense that conspiracy lunatics think. No, most combustion products are just waste with no real use. But calling it “just water” or “harmless clouds” can’t be entirely right unless you believe carbon atoms can just disappear.
The logic behind chemtrails is that evil governments or the rich Illuminati elite are intentionally spraying specific chemicals to control population. If argument was ecological impact of burning fuel, then we’d have to ban airplanes, not chemtrails. But that’s not the argument.
Also it’s not water droplets or vapor, it’s most likely crystalized water vapor or droplets. Commercial airplanes fly at around 10km above ground and temperatures can get very low, we’re talking -40°C. It’s literally those videos where someone throws a pot of hot water up in the air outside during cold winter. It instantly turns into a white mist. Hot jet engines, cold atmosphere, burned fuel and vapor during combustion, would you look at that… CHEMTRAILS!
Not to mention weight is incredible luxury metric on airplanes. If conspiracy people think commercial airlines would carry half the fuel on board and replace other half with chemicals for chemtrails, because reasons, yeah, they don’t do that. They actually rather not even fill the fuel tanks all the way if it’s not necessary for the flight and rather do it when airplane touches at the destination and they refuel it there. Because carrying additional weight consumes more fuel, even if that weight is the fuel itself.
Yep, I understand all that and agree with you. The chemtrail conspiracy people are unhinged.
I’m just criticizing the statement that fossil-fuel vehicles are only emitting water, when we know for a fact that the combustion products are pollutants.
Well, I never said it’s JUST water. I just said water is the main component that freezes and forms crystals that appear as smoke/clouds in the sky from airplanes because water tends to freeze pretty quickly at -40°C.
I was responding to this part.
Because chemtrails are basically just clouds. It’s just water vapor from the airplane engines condensing in cold atmosphere at high altitudes. […] Go out in the winter and breathe with open mouth. You’re now breathing out chemtrails.
I agree with your reaction to the chemtrail conspiracy crowd who are clueless on science, but this is too oversimplified IMO.
I mean, I was just describing the part that most likely creates “chemtrails”. We weren’t exactly talking exact exhaust composition of airplane engine, just the part that is the cause of “chemtrails” which is most likely just water. Of course there is some uncombusted jet fuel, CO2, water, probably some CO and other substances that are formed during combustion and sent out the exhaust of the engine. But most of those probably don’t affect formation of “chemtrails”.
Also all the CO2, clearly we should be banning these flying machines from spreading mass quantities of weather changing chemicals in our atmosphere.
We don’t have a good alternative to planes so it’s probably better to require the industry to offset its pollution. Not than anyone wants flights to be more expensive. But as usual the ultra-wealthy take the most flights yet don’t pay as much as they should.
Without even looking, lemme guess on which states.
Are they the shit holes with low education rates and high rates of rampant stupidity who suckle the teat of all the blue states paying for them but then complain about it?
Likely Oklahoma too - current GOP platform wants to outlaw 5G.
They mentioned shitholes full of idiots.
One of the states is Florida, which is ranked #1 in the U.S. for higher education.
Louisiana and Tennessee I expect it from… But Desantis has done a number on Florida.
Who is ranking Florida #1 for higher education? Even before DeSantis, I only heard of Florida schools being part schools.
A lot of it is tied to “nice” weather and lower tuition costs. But the University of Central Florida is one of, if not the largest University in the U.S. and focused on engineering and computer science. Embry Riddle is the largest Aerospace/Aeronautical school in the world I believe. Florida State University and the University of Florida are likely where the party school stigma stems from, but there are 77 accredited Universities in Florida.
The tuition I’m sure effects it a lot:
Yeah, I guess that’s an issue with trying to aggregate college quality at the state level. Both your list and US News & World Report have Utah and Georgia surprisingly high on their lists.
If you actually just look at top schools you’ll see New York, California, North Carolina, Pennsylvania are listed a lot.
Not bashing Florida, just not where people typically think of elite colleges/universities. That being said education is such a personal thing that the best school for someone is not necessarily the best “ranked” school.
K-12 schools and universities in a state can also be very different in terms of quality.
No, bash away lol. When a states governor commandeers money from the populous and doesn’t let the legislature know and spends chunks of it on advertising to manipulate public opinion and get them to vote one way or another they should be hated on.
Also that “nice” weather is usually a giant steam room at 5:20pm every summer day because there was a giant storm that flew through and rained from 5:10-5:15pm while the sun somehow never even went behind the clouds so it’s hotter then hell and you’re wet and sticky. It’s likely half the reason you can still legally ride motorcycles there without a helmet because it’s absolutely miserable to have moist cushions forcing your sweat and dirt back into your pores. It’s like putting slimy bologna on your cheeks holding it there and trying to call it a joy ride. So you skip the helmet, get caught in a giant downpour flying down the highway with rain stabbing you in the face like needles for fun.
At least they’ve got their swamp puppies to keep them company because their dog already got eaten by the swamp puppy when you tried to take them fishing.
Also states with very shallow gene pool…
shallow gene pool.
IDK which states either. But I’d venture a guess, that sorting states by percentage of MAGA voters, would have the 8 states in the top 10.
I didn’t find a complete list from my scanning of the article, which is disappointing because I could really use some confirmation that my state isn’t on there
We live in a post-reality political climate.
Conservatism was never a part of reality. The Dems just decided to join them in lala-land, and apparently the voters too…
Conservatism is just reactionary post modernism, nothing is real but their personal visceral reaction to some event, and historical events themselves are given innate mystical properties such as things “existing in a vacuum”, and the lovely “its just natural” analysis. Democrats are just really good slow walking reformists owned by capital interest.
Do that many people not realise what condensation is?
You vastly overestimate the US education system as a whole.
“Condensation can only form on glass”, while not in a conversation about contrails this is a response I got from an adult human who graduated high school. He was standing 3 feet away from a steel pipe covered in condensation and dripping onto the floor.
The “chemtrail” conspiracy is particularly stupid. Like, you’ve got to put effort into your own duncefuckery to make the moronic leaps necessary.
“Jetliners are spraying mind control juice”
Uh huh, so, where on the jetliner is it stored? The belly is full of avionics and baggage compartment, the passenger compartment is full of seats, the wings are full of fuel, the tail has maybe a little void space, but enough to crop dust entire time zones? Can you show me any evidence of a jet aircraft equipped with such a dispersion system?
Oh they’re flying special flights just for this? Okay, can you show me such a flight that obviously isn’t what it says it is? There hasn’t been a single air crew, maintenance tech, parts supplier, chemical plant janitor, etc. come forward about any of this?
Oh it’s mixed straight into the fuel! Okay, so the Vote For Obama juice still works after spending hours to days dissolved in kerosene and PRIST, and then burned in a jet engine. Again, nobody anywhere in the fuel supply infrastructure has said anything about this. There hasn’t been a single Youtube video or Reddit thread about “what are my bosses pumping into the jet fuel?”
I guess they’ve also paid off all the chemical labs that analyze fuel, oil and other fluid samples. Because that’s a thing, aircraft mechanics take samples of engine oil and such and send them to labs for gas chromatography. It’s kinda cool, they’ll send you a report that says “We’re seeing elevated levels of tin and copper consistent with accelerated wear of the intake valve bushings.” Nobody has gotten a report back from a lab like that talking about exotic molecules ?
Why would you bother using jet airliners for this that fly extremely high? Some of the particles dispersed would outright NEVER land, some of them will drift hundreds if not thousands of miles before coming to rest in the ocean or a desert. Why not mix the Vote For Obama juice into diesel fuel to be burned by semi-trucks, down near the ground usually where you can find people? Or into automotive gasoline? Surely you could use much less of the chemical that way because it’s being burned so close to people.
Maybe that’s why Big They are so fucking keen to keep Republicans driving big gas guzzling micropenis trucks around? So that Republican areas get basted with Vote For Obama juice.
Oh, also: There’s tetraethyl lead in aviation gasoline. Added as an octane booster and anti-knock additive, it’s a POTENT neurotoxin that makes people stupid and asocial. The fuel pumps have a big sign on them saying as much. It shows up in those chromatography tests of engine oil…and in fact you can see it. A bucket of used aviation piston engine oil has a dull metallic sheen on the surface from the lead that didn’t make it out of the engine. It’s not burned in the quantities that we burn jet fuel, but piston-powered planes do fly lower and closer to civilization in most cases.
But you can’t care about any of that, you’ve got third generation fetal alcohol syndrome so you’re just scared of the lines in the sky.
Truck exhaust blows away. They can’t see it anymore. Contrails linger for a while. They can see that.
They can see planes. They can’t see inside planes. Therefore, they can imagine anything they want inside because they can’t verify it themselves.
The things they can’t see anymore are gone. The things they can’t see into contain the worst possible scenario.
And that litter box in schools things for the kid identifying as a cat? The story is ALWAYS about someone else’s schools. They can picture a different school. They can imagine the worst scenario in there.
This whole political ideology is an exercise in failed object permanence.
It takes more than just failed object permanence to think like they do. They’re also scared of everything they don’t understand, which is everything. They’re underdeveloped children who only think they are a respectable adult.
“We already knew that. The microchips are in on the lead in the fuel. The lead protects the chips from burning up in the engine. Why do you think they put metal in a fuel, huh?”
*Conspiracy theory shortcut happens *
Serious congratulations on typing an actual response to brain damaging shit like this. I couldn’t even get past a few sentences of this dipshit theory without just completely shutting down and moving on
Well…
There is this thing where maybe we could use jetliners to emit a little bit of sulfuric oxides, through their fuel.
The result of that would be a moderate amount of that in the upper atmosphere, which will reflect away some of the solar radiation, like that pollution did back in the 80s and 90s, lowering the global temperatures slightly, and with that the impact of the CO2 crisis that were in.
It’ll produce acid rains but that is the trade off they we might have to make.
Aeons ago I read something about scientists monitoring weather temperature data in September 2001. A lot of aircraft were grounded that month, and they detected an uptick in temperatures because there were fewer contrails, Earth’s albedo decreased very slightly.
Interesting!
dont listen to this guy. they’re in on it!
Just today I learned that the fuel Cessnas use has lead in it, because the engines were developed when lead was in all gasoline and they have not found it worthwhile to certify all of those tens or hundreds of thousands of planes with new engines.
In fact, I was at a fly-in today and there were several Cessnas that were 60 and 70 years old. no unleaded fuel, and no added ethanol, either.
So in the specific case of Cessnas, the first Cessna 172 to require leaded fuel was built in 1977. That was the year they switched from a 6 cylinder Continental O-300 engine to that goddamn 4 cylinder Lycoming O-320 H2AD engine. Bigger displacement, two fewer cylinders, more compression, required leaded fuel.
I gave flight instruction in a new built light sport aircraft equipped with a Rotax 912 engine. Instead of Lycoming and Continental’s 1930’s era tech, BRP-Rotax’s aircraft engines are basically 1980’s motorcycle engines. Water cooled, Nikasil cylinder linings, electronic ignition, constant velocity carburetors or EFI, gear reduction, and they run absolutely fantastic on regular automotive gasoline. No lead.
Thanks for the additional information. Everything newer seems to be Rotax now. Except there was one guy who had a Corvette engine in his Cessna. Other pilots were talking about how it has so much torque his rudder isn’t big enough to compensate.
Hopefully in 5 or 10 years, everything will be electric!
I mean Rotax is kicking some ass, they’ve got a 160 horsepower engine now, weirdly enough out of the same displacement as the 912S. Imagine if they made a 6 cylinder variant, damn thing could make 300 horsepower easy.
I cannot think of a reason to use a Corvette engine in an airplane other than “fuck it.”
It’s an issue with machining tolerances of block/cylinder/piston/piston rings, older planes need lead to reduce the piston knock or it could damage itself. Modern engines have much tighter tolerances, but it would mean essentially rebuilding or replacing the whole engine on every piston engine plane. It would be great if we could phase out leaded Avgas but it won’t be going anywhere anytime soon
False! The industry is phasing out leaded gasoline in 2030. California signed a ban on leaded gasoline after 2031 into law. There are some aircraft out there that I wonder what’s going to happen, but a lot of the GA fleet is going to be well supported.
In addition to that, there’s an expansion of the light sport rule in the works which should allow most of general aviation to advance past the 1970’s.
I knew we were moving away from it but didn’t know Cali set a date, thanks for the info. I imagine there will be a big market for grease monkeys to put all this in place
There’s gonna be a lot of pencil whipping by A&Ps I think. If I understand correctly, the way they’re gonna deal with it is roll out a high octane lead-free fuel that just works, so most of the mechanic’s job is going to be putting new stickers next to gas caps and signing logbooks.
tetraethyl lead - if used - is only for piston aircraft, not large commercial jets
Correct, it’s an ingredient in aviation gasoline, not in kerosene-based jet fuel.
yep… jet engines do not need to worry about knocking as they have no pistons
“Jetliners are spraying mind control juice”
Not all jetliners. Just some.
Uh huh, so, where on the jetliner is it stored?
In tanks.
Can you show me any evidence of a jet aircraft equipped with such a dispersion system?
Why would you bother using jet airliners for this that fly extremely high?
Oh it’s mixed straight into the fuel!
No.
Now there we’re talking about cloud seeding. That is at least mostly real.
If I understand correctly, the object is to spray chemicals into the air which strongly encourages moisture to condense into clouds, either blocking sunlight or causing rain. The USAF experimented with this during the Vietnam war to some success, it’s not exactly the cartoon idea of “Airplane flies by, airplane farts, there’s a rumble of thunder and an instant summer rain shower”. Though for various reasons to include “the chemicals you have to spray to make this work aren’t very nice” it’s probably a bad idea. I gather that’s what the legislation in question is actually about, and it’s honestly not a bad idea to regulate or ban this practice.
The word “Chemtrail” isn’t associated with that, it’s tinfoil hat ivermectin sucking 5G fearing moron talk for “the airlines are spraying chemicals that make you vote Democrat. Wake up sheeple.” Which is 1. complete and utter donkey shit, 2. makes conversations about cloud seeding worse, and 3. makes conversations about General Aviation still using leaded gasoline worse.
The word “Chemtrail” isn’t associated with that, it’s tinfoil hat ivermectin sucking 5G fearing moron talk for "the airlines are spraying chemicals that make you vote Democrat.
This is your interpretation of a fictional persons opinion. There is no conspiracy that links ivermectin to 5G.
Step back. Are you using your own words or are you just repeating what someone wrote on a forum somewhere?
Conspiracy theorists are often inconsistent and illogical, but there is sometimes a nugget of truth under all the madness.
I was somewhat flippantly lumping conspiracy theorists together as a community, expressing an observation that the idiots who believe jet liners are spraying mind control chemicals are likely to also believe in bullshit like flat earth or anti-vax or all manner of other shit we just should not tolerate as a society.
But welcome to the internet where casual discussions must also be MLA formatted research papers because somebody’s going to take your words as ridiculously literal as they can.
Those nuggets of truth are absolutely real. It’s why I bring up TEL in AVGAS, there are airplanes hosing the place down with neurotoxins, it’s a real problem. Fortunately there’s a robust plan to fix it, and I’m surprised it hasn’t been canceled by the Trump regime already.
Fair enough. It just annoys me when conspiracies are lumped together.
One person believing the earth is flat has no relation to someone believing that industry executives hide the harmful effects of their products. Yet both are labelled conspiracy theorists.
Folks who buy into conspiracy theories may buy into more than one, often for similar reasons. A lot of them boil down to “Big They is trying to control you by putting X in the Y, so don’t eat the Y” and if you’re willing to buy that story once you’re probably willing to buy it again. While I don’t think the myths have much to do with each other, I bet you’ll find a lot of “chemtrail” believers also…being afraid of 5G cell networks? Vaccines. Whatever they don’t understand.
Industry executives hiding the harmful effects of their products definitely happens though. It’s quite well documented.
The reason I gave those two examples was to highlight that conspiracy can range from false to (almost certainly) true.
Folks who buy into conspiracy theories may buy into more than one, often for similar reasons.
I have no data on this but suspect it is more true for lower IQ than higher IQ.
However, I don’t believe it should be a standard assumption. Considering one topic to be possible doesn’t automatically imply a person believes in something else.
Stop fucking flying so much then. You could always put those planes on the ground, on tracks. Imagine that.
If it wasn’t so sad it’d be hilarious that all these states are banning imaginary ways to control the weather while at the same time gutting the EPA and air population controls, so real ways to influence the weather.
