  • So what you say is that intent is more important than the object.

Therefore you loathe furries as well? As big part of it is anthropomorphized animals in a sexual way.

  • No, I care about harming children.

AI needs CSAM to generate it, and it may muddy the water about real victims, that's why it doesn't get a pass.

If someone wants to marry a ferris wheel, I don't care. Inanimate objects, including fucked-up but obviously not real drawings, don't hurt anyone.

Re: anime - I've seen some fucked up shit in 'normal' anime, like Bakemonogatari (very young girls in very bad scenes), so I don't recommend anime in general either. But I do not think it's a real danger, unlike genAI, eg Grok.

  • I hate to do this, but it's simple: anything that looks like real children is bad and should never be sexualized.

But anime? Come on. That's not how people look.

  • I've seen lucky star (like 15 years ago), there's no sex that I can remember being referenced.

It was just girls slice of life.

  • Always has been. Never a day without it.

  • rule

    Jump
  • It was from Macromedia before :(

  • Yes? Why is that a question, there is a link.

  • I know naming is hard, but there are already other nano projects, so fuck any new ones.

  • Yeah, it's insane how easy to use Gentoo is.

Nobody will take it from me. But I admit to only using it on desktop, laptop is using Mint. If I ever find time to play around with a build server, I will try switching there, too.

  • I completely forgot about it, which is a damn shame, but Beyond All Reason, open-source game inspired by Total Annihilation, is a massive RTS, with PvP, PvE, 32k unit limit, absolute madness of a game. Haven't played it as much, but I will come back to it.

Game can do more than 150 players in a single game. It's usually 16 players max, but I can send you vids of some massive games if you would like.

  • I know, but that's so long ago, yet the jokes are here anyway.

Which is shame, as it seems to be scaring away potential users.

  • They said fuck sysd, which is fair, I don't use it on my desktop either.

My service files are still 10-20 lines.

  • I just read a lot of Wiki.

But when I discovered how cool it is to compile stuff, I went straight to Gentoo, assuming it's mostly the same apart from packaging.

  • There are systems other than SysV and systemd...

    Don't do false dichotomy.

  • Their mind: I'm a fucking genius.

  • It's not like reinstalling Windows wasn't the best way to make it usable after couple of years.

And sure, HDR is the issue with SMASHING Windows? I always laugh at people who say 'Linux is not ready for 99% of users' then point out a feature only 1% uses.

I have not tried Bazzite, so maybe it's a lot better than Fedora, maybe even Fedora changed, as I dropped it over a decade ago.

  • Just honeypot him. You don't need money.

  • Fedora used to fuck up my work laptop after every upgrade, so I migrated to Ubuntu (14), then later to Mint.

I would suggest anyone to have any Fedora-based distro specially with nvidia hw as a second option after Mint.
