That word. Many people love it in the USA. But I don’t think they use it correctly.

They don’t know what it means. I have a friend who would boast about how free America is (they are 2nd generation). It’s taken over half a decade of me providing information that states otherwise. I think it’s finally starting to settle in with them. Sadly, the propaganda runs deep and it can take a long time for someone to break free of thought control.
American Freedom has always been a bit of a pipe dream, or at the very least a too technical definition (you have the freedom to get rich, but you also have the freedom to die in the gutter or become a victim of any number of state-sanctioned for-profit organisations).
But Trumpism took the already dumb sentiment and perverted it just by continuing to spout it. While his admin works actively against it. Any definition of it.
Brainwashed. I forget the video I saw on YouTube that went all into the details of this mentality but it was quite eye opening.

NPR was having a “debate” yesterday about if the american dream is dead or not. They had 2 people debating both sides. The guy debating that no its not, basically just licked the boots of the rich and told the poor’s to fuck off and start a business already like immigrants did after coming to America 80 years ago. It was comically bad. The majority of Americans feel this is one of the worst possible times to live in this country and its going downhill FAST.
