I’m not sure if it would even count as love but there have been instances of rebellions that occur specifically because of taxes levied to communities, where the governors who are tasked with extracting the surplus have more to gain by not doing so and instead rebelling, because their own family is from the same community and they gain a whole lot more by sticking with the community instead of the monarchy or other similar systems, but this would be more of a failure to coerce others and consolidate their ruling class I suppose
