  • The boat glided across the lake in exactly the same way a bowling ball didn't ahh analogy

  • You know what's easy AND helps build community? Making big bowl of porridge for all to enjoy

  • You used to be able to buy amphetamines in the supermarket

  • I love putting raisins in with the oats. Same goes for almonds. I've also had some good experiences with putting pomegranate in right before it's done

  • There's also another trend I see yanks do where they go so all-in on "teehee white people no seasoning" they run away from anything they deem to be "white" - hence the dunking on salt that was a trend a year or so ago. Some sort of weird reverse white saviour I see people do, like they try to say "i'm one of the good ones or something". I think it's a mix of all three: Racism, colonialism and I don't know what to call the last thing... Neoliberalism? Tokenism?

  • You can even get coarse and fine grain oats, depending on how creamy you like your oatmeal. You can yankify it by slapping some GMO peanutbutter on it or even jam, I won't judge. Douse it with sugar or caramelized bacon bits or some other epic reddit shit. But hating oats? Telling on yourself. No joy in life.

I love oatmeal. Toppings change with the seasons. In the summer I pick wild strawberries. Late autumn and winter it's appleseason babyyy. I shoplift almonds all year, so they're a staple for me. I change up the milk I use too. If I'm in a hurry I mix the oats and milk the night before so it takes no time to heat em up and get em creamy. Not liking oats is akin to saying you don't know how to put toppings on. It's saying you're a fancy lad who gets your food made for you because you have no idea what you really like so you have no way of making yourself a delicious low budget breakfast. • For me it's more so the impending apocalypse feeding my own depression. I want to give my kids a stable life and I do not see how stability, let alone life, is anywhere to be found 15 years from now.

  • I appreciate the recommendations, thanks!

  • Thank you!

Yeah I agree on the "historical" texts. He loves reading, so if he wants to go there, he'll do that when he's ready. It's more the worldview and the understanding and the like. I was considering Brumaire just because I felt like I had to give him some Marx and I hear it's the most approachable one.

  • I really do not understand the oathate that comes from anglos in general. It's like when a bunch of americans on twitter decided to dunk on salt.

Oatmeal is a great base for breakfast. Equal parts oats and milk (milk used to include plant milk, it's only in more modern times we've split it up into separate groups, which is something the dairy industry spearheaded), pinch of salt, over heat, stir until the texture suits you. Put it inna bowl. Honey on top, fruits and nuts, go crazy, be full all day.

  • Thanks! I'm considering sitting down with him to watch Loyal Citizens of Pyonyang. I¨ll look into the Bruce Cummings book.

I've heard mixed things about Stasi State or Socialist Paradise, so if you read it I'd love to hear your thoughts on it as well.

  • You may wanna also see if you can find something that discusses the overlap between Nazi Germany and NATO then.

Yeah I've really been looking for that kind of book. I've got plenty of articles, but I don't have one super good one that compiles it all, and if it doesn't do that (from a lib-friendly source) then I'd much rather give him a book.

Operation Gladio : The Unholy Alliance Between The Vatican , The CIA And The Mafia, Paul L. Williams (2015)

I'll look into this one! Thanks!

  • The Jakarta Method is an excellent recommendation! Don't know why I didn't think of that myself. I think I have to read wrecthed of the earth myself first.

As for the rest of your recommendations, I appreciate them, but they seem more fitting for a USian than a european. Not that they're not good for a european too, but if you don't already have leftist worldview I fear it'll mainly just feed the basic notion of "the US sucks" which is broadly agreed upon here.

How To Turn A Dad Into A Stalinist

  • You can turn votes and scores off in your settings. I like them because I enjoy how they function for sorting stuff.

  • top structure

    Goth

  • Disappointed you didn't take this in a horny direction

  • Don't bother wasting your time, but there's a bunch of people who have dedicated entire YouTube channels to hating them.Basically

    • Shitty neighbours
    • Facilitate their creepy dad grooming teenage girls
    • Crypto scammers
    • Focused on kids buying their merch in really scummy ways
    • Did online dudebro "university" scams
    • Suicide forest
    • SA allegations
    • manosphere adjacent
    • more crypto scams

    And stuff I don't remember

  • Now if they'd reported me for being anti-influencer we'd of course do something about it.

@Stefan_S_from_H@discuss.tchncs.de if this bothers you enough to wine about, bother enough to call me out for it you snivelling little booger
