“Trump and Putin are gay lovers also Trump is a bad guy because he’s got psychological issues!”

Gee I wonder why the left is abandoning the ‘lesser of two evils’ parties when libs make it clear that they equate vulnerable people with vile ghouls like Musk or Trump

There’s also that whole “micropenis means they evil and insecure” shit they sling. Oh you don’t like us mentioning that lol your projecting.

Liberals will blame everything but the systems of power that got us here. Dark Money is a pretty good book on how the right of America built their base of power but I’ve only heard liberals talk about the psychosexual politics of the Koch brothers

I’m in no way excusing anyone for using penis size as a valid avenue of attack, but I thought Musk was being made fun of for being fuck-you rich, trying to get penis enlargement surgery, and still having it get botched. It seemed like it was more along the lines of “You tried to fix something that wasn’t broken and fucked it up so much that it became worse in your mind than when you started”, which speaks more to his own toxic masculinity biting him in the…whatever.

Agreed and that’s what I meant about them saying you’re projecting for calling them out on their bullshit. Weaponizing transphobia/racism/sexism/ableism/bigotry is still using it and only harms people instead of institutions

I’ve never seen this connection. It always seemed clearly a manifestation of the horrible version masculinity which dominates, and I can see very easily how that version of masculinity is related to transphobia of course, but I’ve never heard that these are directly related. Can you explain more? Is it like some shit about “you only don’t want to be a man because your penis is small?” Or something like that? Or is it about estrogen somehow that these are related?

How old are penis size jokes anyways?

For one jokes that hinge on “being manly (having a big dick) is good and being unmanly (having a small dick) is shameful and bad” are inherently transphobic/transmisogynistic cuz of the implication that being camab and “unmanly” is shameful and worthy of ridicule, and for two estrogen (usually) shrinks ur penis, and penises trans men get from phalloplasty are afaik usually smaller than an average one, so trans ppl in both directions are more likely to have a small penis

to add on to this, trans mascs often (anecdotal but i do at least) refer to bottom growth on testosterone as their penis which of course tend be smaller than cis counterparts so like, small dick jokes really suck in that respect too

Thanks for the explanation! It seems like there’s a lot of negative impacts on everyone from the misfounded masculinity of our patriarchal society. That trans people get hurt by the penis size shit should’ve been more obvious to me, I think. Sorry for whatever pain you trans comrades have experienced from it

Dark Money by Jane Mayer, Listen, Liberal by Thomas Frank, and Democracy in Chains by Nancy Maclean are 3 of my favorite books to recommend together to really sum up how fucked the two political parties are and how we got here. stalin-approval

Dark Money kinda gives the dem party a pass and frames them as victims, but Thomas Frank goes into how the Koch Brothers were on the board of the Democratic Leadership Council that helped elect Bill Clinton and really ties it all together.

Also, the Koch’s were giving a bunch of money to Democrats for a while.

The reason that they have to make fun of their physical appearance is because if they look to closely at the policies, they realize that the Democrats are normally doing almost the exact same things.

Socialists, and I guess if you count Chapo as socialists (I don’t, but I guess we can for the sake of argument) shouldn’t do it either. They do it to be edge-lords.

That said, there is usually an extremely distinct difference between when I hear socialists talk about Republican elected officials and when partisian Democrats. Partisian Democrats almost exclusively focus on physical appearance and habits for the purposes of virtue signalling, but rarely focus on what their actual policies are.

Trump I will hear all about has small hands, but never that he is a warmonger.

Lol as soon as I posted, I realized as soon as I said it that you meant the Chapo guys. I don’t usually consider them part of the socialist left, just part of the general radlib commentiariat (as they never really advocate specifically for socialism) but you have a point.

At least they mostly focus on actual policies, but yeah the body shaming is abit much.

Saw a highly upvoted post where someone tried to “yes and” calling Kash Patel “J Edgar Boozer” by calling him “Rumdog Millionaire”. Took something that was about his job and made it racist instead.

Also love the way alcoholism is a terrible disease until someone they don’t like gets it, then it’s a moral failing.

The casual reactionary comments are alienating, absolutely. But I know that this is something we have to educate out of potential new members at different orgs (one of the reasons to have front groups is to keep such people quarantined). None of our orgs will be completely free of it, though we can get 99.9% there with good internal policing.

What bothers me more is that liberals actively fight against material security for the marginalized. Some vaguely left person is primarying an important enabler of genocide? Suddenly brown people don’t matter and you’re being “divisive”. Trying to create a universal healthcare program? Suddenly their support for, say, trans people getting healthcare (any healthcare!) evaporates in a miasma of half-truths and personal vendettas.

We shouldn’t tolerate reactionary language, but if the two could be decoupled and we could produce actual material demarginalization despite things like “I drew Trump as gay aren’t I funny?” it wouldn’t be nearly so evil.

My heart with the comrades and marginalized who have to live under the US, but the shitlibs who went maskoff hitler for Arabs, Latines and black people for having a non-dem percentage, they specifically deserve trump and much worse inconveniencing their privileged, white lives.

This is a take more of anger than actual reasoning but god i’m so sick of it.

    • Trump is absolutely the president the American people deserve. He’s their values and worldview exposed and raw. They’ll presumably rehabilitate his imagine (like Bush) after whoever comes after him really fires up the fascism machine.

“Trump may have rounded up all the minorities, but at least he only imprisoned them.”

Look how quickly they turned rabid when they say latino voter stats, but were quick to discard the stats on how more white women voted for trump.
