The reason that they have to make fun of their physical appearance is because if they look to closely at the policies, they realize that the Democrats are normally doing almost the exact same things.
So what’s the excuse when socialists do it?
Socialists, and I guess if you count Chapo as socialists (I don’t, but I guess we can for the sake of argument) shouldn’t do it either. They do it to be edge-lords.
That said, there is usually an extremely distinct difference between when I hear socialists talk about Republican elected officials and when partisian Democrats. Partisian Democrats almost exclusively focus on physical appearance and habits for the purposes of virtue signalling, but rarely focus on what their actual policies are.
