Science and technology do not drive the stories, nor are they the solutions to the problems that arise. They are incidental and could just as well be replaced with actual magic. It’s interesting that when tweets are shared, they almost never include the date. I wonder if that’s basically natural selection? I.e., if the date is on there, people are less inclined to share it once it’s outdated, so the ones that survive as memes are the ones that let people assume the tweet is still current?
