The issue isn't really whether they're fake or not, it's that they exist at all. Whether or not they're real, the person can absolutely be upset that they've been made and further that they're being distributed. Profiting from it is just salt in an already gaping wound.
Because the ones who usually post and respond are not interested in polite, casual discourse. I block crossfit communities for the same reasons.
