    But i feel like they apply more to people who are already using linux. For those struggling to make the switch i would argue ease of use and familiarity are key. Mint and ubuntu are a great place to start.

  • I became a member a few months ago. I used to vote labour but they have turned their back on their own beliefs and green stand for almost everything i stand for. So its greens all the way for me now.

  • I just bought a vauxhall/opel frontera.

    Its not the fastest or sleekest out there but its cheap, got lots of physical buttons instead of everything deep in menus on a touch screen. Its got manual seats, its even got a metal key to start the "engine". The screens dont do too much either, they are quoted as saying they went for a sort of digital detox with this car. I am very happy with it personally.

    Its a mid sized SUV and its perfect for me and my small family.

    This makes them short sighted and only see the money right in front of their face, which in this case, is going into the pockets of people shovelling snow.

    They don't see the benefit because it doesn't benefit them immediately.

  • I thought audio quality was more to do with the source and the destination. If you have a shit needle on a record or a speaker made of wood then its gonna sound like ass.

    I never once thought it had anything to do with the cables. Unless they were frayed or damaged in some way.

    But i am not an audiophile, i record my own music and mix etc, but never worried about cable quality before.

  • Mint has been all i have run since the end of last year. Only thing i had to open windows for was ableton live, i cant get it to install in any wine emulator i have tried. I followed guides but nothing has worked so far.

    Otherwise i love using it and everything else works. Mostly out of the box.
