52·17 小时前Yep, nobody ever tried to exploit their fellow humans until capitalism was adopted in the 18th century. The other economic systems that existed parallel to capitalism were also exploitation-free.

Good thing Trump’s absolutely destroyed any kind of international leverage the United States had. That’s the one silver lining to all of this: The USA has been on a steady path to fascism for a while, accelerating under Republicans and slowing down under Democrats but never reversing. However, now that you’ve gone fully mask-off you did it under the leadership of an outright moron, who’s making it much harder for Americans to drag the rest of the world down with them.

I use two taskbars. The one on top has my menu, quick-launch icons, date/time display, weather and notifications. The one on the bottom has my actual tasks.
Of course, I’m not using Windows.

916·2 天前What the whole Biden situation boils down to is this: At no point in history has a Presidential candidate ever been replaced as late in the campaign as the 2024 campaign was by the time people started seriously calling for Biden to step aside (i.e. after the debate.) The only close equivalent was in 1968, when Lyndon B. Johnson declined to run much earlier in the campaign, and it still resulted in a victory for Richard Nixon. Still, when confronted with a choice between fascism and not-fascism, many people (including many of the people in this very thread) decided to devote all their effort to throwing stones at the not-fascism side.
When Biden did finally step aside, surprise surprise, it resulted in a victory for fascism. Congratulations.
And they’d still need to maintain their non-US factories due to the retaliatory tariffs many countries are putting on US products.
