A restaurant near me used to offer a french toast BLT which was exactly what you think: a BLT using french toast instead of regular toasted bread. I thought it would be great but it was kind of disgusting, mainly because of the mayo. The sweetness of the french toast just did not go well with the mayonnaise taste and texture. But I do respect them for trying.
A bacon egg and cheese might work better than BLT.

I’m not American, I do like tomatoes in pretty much everything, also raw for example with burratta cheese, but I don’t want them in my burgers or sandwiches (with some few exceptions, like in a pain bagnat) because it just makes everything else soggy.
I am not american. I just hate the texture, taste and tomato water of raw tomatoes. The only ones I can stomach raw are the small little cherry tomatoes that are firmer and less watery.
And don’t tell me I have not tasted real tomatoes we grow like 3 varieties at home and my grandparents have even more. I just don’t like raw tomatoes.

I would be down if they sliced a donut. But usually the “donut” sandwiches I see are two whole donuts making the sandwich more than a mouthful.
