  • Well, Raspbian is an entirely different architecture so it never occurred to me to ask questions about Raspbian anywhere not Raspbian specific. That said, I take answers for Ubuntu, Debian and Mint when working on my Pop!_OS install without issue. The same applies to my Mint and LMDE installs.

  • My answer is that as long as you pick a Debian based distro, you can ask any of their chat rooms a question and the answer will likely apply to all the Debian distros.

  • The only thing these stupid AI chips in my phone are good for. The eye patch is 100% AI slop.

  • A lot of people are using upscaling and way too many phone filters to update old photos.

Someone gave me a t-shirt of a movie poster from the '80's. I guess they started with a web search results image of the poster and upscaled it so much that the final result ended up looking like first gen AI slop.

  • Debian is the correct answer, mainly because Ubuntu, Pop!_OS, and Mint are all Debian based, so most of their suggestions work with one another.

  • UPDATE: (no trade for us, I guess)

  • It was the hairstyle they gave Diana Muldaur that made her unapproachable.

I'm pretty sure nobody wanted to watch Pulaski get down with a ghost looking like a 1980's public school teacher.

  • TNG is my Star Trek of choice. It's an extremely unpopular opinion but I liked Dr. Pulaski a lot more than Dr. Crusher. In fact, Crusher is my least favorite main character in TNG. I think the reason people didn't like Dr. Pulaski was that damned hair style they gave her. It made her stiff and unapproachable.

  • The level of sanitizing the media is doing to this story is disgusting. The Texas Tribune is the only one doing a fairly decent job, and it still is fairly delicate.

    Let's recap this "affair":

    • Her husband cheats on her with her best friend.
    • The rep hardcore sexually harasses her, did not stop after she complained and eventually gets her to shack up for an afternoon
    • Her husband finds out so he takes her phone, impersonates her to start a group text chat including the rep and all his wife's coworkers, and confronts the rep about fucking his wife
    • In response she is ostracized and bullied by her coworkers
    • She kills herself by setting herself on fire.

For his part, this piece of shit man used his position of power and his knowledge of her personal situation to get in her pants.

  • Look at this picture.

To the left we have a man that looks like he's looking forward to chocolate pudding night at the home, and to the right we have an incredibly sleazy looking man who actually doesn't look nearly as sleazy as he actually is.

Somehow people still wonder why voter turnout in Texas is so incredibly low.

  • The analysis I read (I need to dig up link but I think it was BBC) pointing to the link between the school and the base did note the report but also noted that it took them very little time to find out that it was a school and thatit had been for some time. Basically pointing to the excuse being VERY flimsy.

Personal Opinion: We will never know if this was a miatake or purposeful, but given Israel's deep involvement in the planning of this attack, and their recent choice of engagement (ie genocide), I am not very willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

EDIT: Not BBC. It was Al Jazeera.https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/3/questions-over-minab-girls-school-strike-as-israel-us-deny-involvement

  • We know.

  • Literally called "Sweet Addiction". LOL WTF.

  • Not a whoops. The girls school was specifically targeted by Israel as it is adjacent to a naval base and attended in great part by the children of naval officers.

The US military knows that targeting civilians, especially children, is not only bad optics, it also makes their jobs exponentially more difficult as they always depend on local support. The IDF's strategy is to inflict maximum pain in order to break the enemy. This is especially attractive when you cam make others (the US) do the killing for you and take the blame.

Normally, US intelligence selects and monitors the targets, but this shitshow of an administration has let a foreign entity (Israel) drive.

Regardless. The killing of those girls was not a whoops.
