People who go on about Trump joking or making distractions are insufferable. This shit is actually happening. It’s not a distraction. Nothing he does is a distraction and never has been for decades. He does multiple horrible things simultaneously and most of it sticks.

There’s an adage - the precise phrasing eludes me - that says you should listen to mad authoritarians’ rants because they tell you what they’re going to do.

I guess it depends how into the war the US gets, but a war against Russia could be pretty involved, supporting a war for Russia might be the more likely outcome at this point though …

I mean, rights in general only matter if enough fight for them. We’re seeing this right now with the Fifth and First Amendments; none of this is unique to the Second.
