Trump is a symptom of a much, much larger systemic issue that has been on slow burn for decades, but the thing that Trump does that no one else can do is have such a massive fanatical fanbase. They do not have any other person who can rile people up while also being an absolute moron who insults them at every turn and treats them worse than whatever shit he has them lick off his shoes.

Trump’s attribute is that he is the glue that keeps their movement together, but not the actual mover of that movement. Trump doesn’t have beliefs.
