Literally just spawn camp them bruh. Get some treats and bribe them. Let them get used to you presence and feed them, make no sudden movements and give out good vibes, that’s all it takes

I’m trying to get my cat back. One of the neighbors found him but they’re only being helpful in fucking with me and making my blood pressure skyrocket. :( Normally I love cats but right now I don’t want to see or hear about another adorable cat ever again.

You can adopt the entire litter if you are patient and feed them regularly. Please, please make sure to vaxx and spay them once they’re old enough. I don’t wanna restart the outdoor cat struggle sesh, but i need to point out that feral cat populations are gigantic, there’s an estimated two million of them in my country alone and it’s smaller than some of the big US states. If it is in any way possible, contribute at least a little to not letting that grow further. These feral cats are a serious environmental problem, not to mention that a lot of these cats are suffering horribly due to lack of medical care. This goes almost entirely unnoticed because well, they’re just cats, so people assume they certainly belong somewhere, and if they are in visibly bad shape they go into hiding because being visibly ill marks them for attacks by other cats. So there’s a ton of feral cat suffering out there that nobody ever notices.

I went to an SPCA that didn’t trap cats themselves, but you could rent a trap out for free and catch em yourself

the government doesn’t want you to know this but the cats outside are free. i have four in my living room right now. you can buy a small animal trap for relatively cheap and just nab them up (places like tractor supply etc often sell them). you may also have unofficial groups that do trap and neuter in your area; check facebook if you’ve got it. sometimes private clinics or even the county itself will have super low cost spay/neuter services, also worth checking into.

i used to feed the neighborhood strays when i lived in austin and it taught me that i get attached even if i don’t have direct contact w them.

it tore my heart out when i had to move away in the knowledge that everyone else will just let them starve and suffer out of indifference after i was gone.
