Women have always been in the gaming industry, they were just ignored for the most part.
Video games were marketed as boys toys in the past, but even then girls played them and never had a problem playing as a male character.
If you can relate to a cartoon plumber that says mama mia and wahoo, but can’t relate to a women, I am deeply concerned for you. You don’t even have to relate to the main character to enjoy the game. I don’t relate to Kris Deltarune in the slightest, but I still enjoy the shit out of those games.
Maybe we need to be elitist against these chuds, “go back to call of duty tourist!”

I sold retro games for a couple years at a pretty hype flea market booth. It was when rental stores were dying and I bought up stock from them, or used the fact thst I lived in the sticks at the time to get yard sale scoops. We sold modern at the time (wii, 360, ps3 era) but it was more about older stuff. This has meant just for testing purposes and so I would know enough about any game on sale I could talk to a customer about it, I have played fucking everything up to and including what was modern at the time. These people generally know jack shit about games and have watched more YouTube videos about them than played em. They’re just shallow people
