I like the “I Know” shirt a lot. Very subtle, I want one.
Same. Wouldn’t have even known it was Han Solo’s line myself.
i feel like it’s all a little ruined by the knowledge that they get together and make whiny tantrumey kylo ren
“I Know”

I dunno, I’m pretty tired of star wars and find it rather uncool as well. Sorry nerds, but Star Wars, Marvel comics, and Harry Potter are all mainstream, they’re all problematic, and none of them are cool anymore. Go read indie comics, watch PeerTube, and play open source games. It was never cool to be mainstream.
I can always enjoy the original trilogy for what is is and completely ignore the sequel sequel trilogy and everything after that.
Hell yeah brother! Some of the old EU novels and games were pretty fun too!
Dude I learned about Mara Jades existence recently What a baddie. I can’t believe Disney retconned her from existence
Or, just a theory, we let people like what they like?
Bashing on something just because it’s mainstream just screams “I’m 14” to everyone.
I never said people can’t enjoy what they like. I said they can’t like it and be cool. Coolness is a specific quality and often a high bar. I like doing crosswords but crosswords are a coolness-neutral activity, neither cool nor uncool, just a fun thing to do.
Caring really hard about main stream media, making it your personality? Uncool. Liking what you like regardless of some jackass on the Internet’s opinion: very cool.
And you became the arbiter of coolness when?
You keep moving those goalposts and I’ll keep kicking through them lil buddy.
You’re the one arguing it’s uncool to like mainstream stuff. Being popular and mainstream has arguably been a mark of coolness for ages. Liking nerdy stuff was considered uncool specifically because it wasn’t mainstream.
By defining mainstream stuff as uncool you are 100% trying to make yourself the arbiter of coolness. So, tell me again which goalposts are moving?
My dude. Coolness is always subjective, every person is the arbiter of their own definition of coolness. If you don’t like mine, it would be very cool of you to stick to your own and not worry about what I think.
Are you worried I’m not respecting Star Wars fans enough or something?
See that over there? That’s the goalposts you just moved yourself again.
For sure, but also stop glorifying bad material. Star wars have 9 main movies and maybe 2 or 3 are good and the shows are hit or miss or have a lot of unnecessary archs just for the sake of extending the playtime (+ disney)
Marvel: see above
I appreciate they Harry Potter got me into reading but the story is full of plot holes and the author is a TERF
there’s a lot of good material don’t by not problematic authors that deserve more attention
Yep. CinemaSins recently did a review of all the Star Wars movies and pointed out all of the really dumb plot holes. The movie was over 4 hours long
I’m more inclined to think you are lame if I see this stuff, George lucas milked the hell out of the franchise and then Disney took it out back, shot it and reanimated its corpse.
Star Wars is just a cringey cash grab these days.
Most star wars fans I know celebrating today don’t disagree with you for the most part. They can still celebrate and enjoy the old stuff
I’m wearing a WarGames shirt today.
Nice!
