  • But we are all monkeys who see positive number as agreement/good or negative number as disagree/bad.

  • I also use the vote buttons as a kind of 'I seen this' system as the read post doesn't work the same way on all clients.

  • Let's say scientists can't come up with solutions to global problems

We already have the solution, the French made it in the 1800. We just lack the will to use them again.

  • Can't most word processors deal with this?

  • Ah, the coward setting.

Having people disagree with you is a good thing.

  • Don't think it can. The copy paste function is a function of the operating system not the application.

  • You can export your settings and import them to a new instance.

You can't take your post or comments, but block lists and subscriptions are exportable.

  • Not at all.

  • Don't think so. There is also nothing stopping an instance admin to patch Lemmy to ignore delete requests.

  • Boooo! :)

  • Got to start that consumer mindset when their brains are knowledge sponges.

  • Not recently, but as a kid you may have. Kids have quite the imagination.

  • That it is pay to win like shitty mobile games.

  • But would medical professionals accept your claim to get the support they require?

  •

    sudo sleep [3h?] | sudo apt dist-upgrade -y

  • Wouldn't need to rerun. There was an interview with Bryan Cranston about his time on soap operas and he said they repeat the same lines every couple episodes in slightly different ways to catch people up who missed episodes. And with 200 episodes a year, that is a lot of watch time.

  • It has to be a soap opera running since the 60s right? Days of our lives kind of show.

  • I know....... 😔

  • No shit. Have you seen how much threat actors abuse git forges? If I opened my forge to the internet I would also mandate hardware tokens and block known VPN endpoints.
