There’s actually a really cool case study to be made about the danish village of Borris. Every 5th person there is Romanian, and it’s all because of one old guy who was tired of seeing his city slowly die. So he reaches out to romanians, because they want to live there, and help them with everything - Finding a house fitting their budget and needs, immigration paperwork, finding work, learning danish, settling in and so on. By all criteria the people in Borris are well-integrated. None of the stuff the far right fearmongers about is troubling the city.
Turns out if you help people they settle into your community much better?
