Over the course of my life we just keep learning more and more about the depths and dimensions of animal intelligence. At this point I just assume that my knowledge is wrong and obsolete when it comes to how intelligent and curious and playful animals are.
What we don’t seem to repeatedly discover is hidden depths of unnecessary cruelty in animal behaviour. There is some, but not like people. Especially not like these people.
