My cat absolutely has to be there when I’m using the toilet. He comes running when I go toward the bathroom and sits outside the door yelling if I close it on him, and insists on winding around my legs the whole time.

This is the main answer. Along with a little concerned staring if you try to bathe. Cats would like to remove your bathroom door.

Your cat amd dog supervise you pooping because pooping is their most exposed situation, and you likely check them out when theyre doing it. It’s a “You’ve got my back, I’ve got yours” situation.

Cooking. Not so much while I actually eat, but the whole time I’m standing in the kitchen my dog is right behind me.

    Everything

In my room, the ferrets are always bompling around unless it’s the 14 hours a day they sleep

The rest of the house is the domain of the Hound

She follows me everywhere and I am too happy to give her pets and treats, even when she’s a colossal asshole

80 pound mutt who thinks she’s a cat

My dog doesn’t so much ‘supervise’ as looks at me wondering why I won’t play with her, usually when I’m working[1] at my computer.

My partner an I make the bed together every night and the cat supervises this. It’s more like getting in the way than supervising, though.

Just this year he’s finally figured out how to remain on the bed while we do it. For well over 10 years he’d jump up, get covered by the sheet, find the edge of the bed, jump down and then back up on top. Repeat with every blanket.

Finally he figured out that he can go to the head of the bed to get out from under the blankets without jumping down. Only took doing it 3650 or so times to realize this

Eating. My cat always checks what I’m eating and tries to taste it himself.
