I can’t help but think that many of the people who gave money are convinced he’s guilty, but think that the CEO deserved to be killed.
That’s like 50%
It’s heart-warming to see people donating $27s for his 27th birthday today (I didn’t know till I saw those comments).
oh no, 27? he’s going to join the club soon probably.
Wh… what club? 🫣
The word of the day is ‘Nullify’.
Guilty?
The People know a bad faith prosecution when they see it and are willing to pay what they can to help.
TBH I’d rather donate to the prosecution at this point. Leaves a bad feeling in the mouth when some rich boy murderer gets better chances just because he’s got an online following, I assume this is how people felt about OJ Simpson.
the fact that he has money is irrelevant to people’s feelings about him
and… better chances? are you fucking joking? the prosecution is asking for the death penalty for (allegedly) killing 1 dude
even if he did it, that’s not justice - that’s making an example out of him… that’s retribution that far outweighs the crime
No point in arguing with someone who comes to Lemmy to support the establishment. Downvote and move on
I dont know whether he is the perpetrator or not, either way he needs to be supported.
I don’t understand why people are mobilizing for him. Maybe he will be found guilty of be wrongly acquitted, both possible case where this crowdfunding would be dirty money.
Good. Tell him to use any money left over on hookers and blow.
That’s not counting his family fortune, either. Must be nice being born into riches, getting a nice degree and cushy job, all just to throw it away.
