  • It’s not the multiple partners that are a problem in my opinion (You do you. Polyamory is not for me, but no hate), it’s the many-to-one relationships. Even in cases where an immoral power dynamic doesn’t exist, you’re still setting up for societal shenanigans if it’s consistently many women to men, or vice versa, which seems prudent to avoid.

That being said, monogamy in a legal sense has probably only persisted so long because involving more than 2 people would be a massive headache for the courts lol

Probably only works in countries where one “partner” has more rights than others.

  • I’m getting pretty tired of hearing people spout the copium that the election was “rigged” when it’s the far more sinister complete capture by the monied class, first past the post, active voter suppression and gerrymandering, and loopholes allowing billionaires to fund the campaigns of whoever they choose.

The election wasn’t rigged, the elections are barely democratic.

Same as in Singapore. Each election isn’t fake, just set up to bring the PAP back to majority government without fail.

That being said, you really need to get rid of your voting machines, that is a really risky practice, and I’ll grant it is possible those were hacked. (I’m assuming you’re from the US). If you’re okay with that possibility, then you also have to admit it was possible when Trump lost.

    Voting machines are dumb.

  • The election wasn’t rigged (in the sense you’re hoping for, or that MAGAs were alleging for the 2020 election). On a federal level it’s deeply broken because of state administration, voter suppression, loopholes allowing for billionaires to fund election campaigns and first past the post.

On a state level from what I can tell it’s much the same with a few exceptions.

I kinda doubt Musk had to do anything illegal to influence the election.

  • Work forced our update and it’s massively slowed down everyone’s computers.

The IT guy gave me this knowing look when I came to ask if I could do anything about it.

    Nope.

Bloody ridiculous because in terms of functionality it’s a step backwards in many areas, some decent little improvements in very few areas, and overall trash performance.

Really wish they had paid for extended security updates.
