  • TBH its probably been close to that since I used it. Shame, It used to be a solid tool.

  • Piggybacking off this, is Ccleaner still any good?

  • Lmao

    Jump
  • I will die on this hill. BBT was 6 seasons of a quality sitcom dragged out over 12. If a skilled editor went through and cut out all the filler, it would be a much better show.

  • Yeah I accidentally a word.

  • I once bought a car in about 2009 and yeah the tyres held air but were dry rotted but held air, I was thinking about driving it home nice and slow and gentle.

Then I saw "Made in West Germany" on the sidewall, I called a towtruck.

  • The problem isnt "could AI be useful?" Because yes, it very much could Its "Can AI be trusted with the data it needs?" because thats also a conversation about "Can the organisation that owns the AI be trusted with the data?" and "Can those people be trusted to work for the betterment of society?"

Imagine if you had live tracking information about every car on the road nationally and could map out their typical routes. That information could be so useful in terms of traffic optimisation, planning future road developments, enhancing and expanding public transport. If you reduced the amount of driving time and miles done by a typical car annually by 10% thats effectively 10% less emissions, 10% less petrol used, 10% less tyres... you get the idea.

Now do you trust your government, let alone a private profit seeking entity to use that data ethically to reduce consumption? Because I sure as fuck dont.

  • Small bottle of whiskey.

  • Its like Costco, I dont LOVE any big corporation but if I have to give money to one it would be the one that treats employees like people and appreciates its customers.

  • I know its a bit off topic but at least in Australia all the free to air channels have their own app and if you have them all its a not insignificant selection.

  • Or worse.

Theres a product I need, never seen an ad for it. Go online, buy it. Thats all my ads are for the next 3 months like I'm some sort of fucking collector now.

  • NGL I do love a good sports movie but those are the easiest low hanging fruit examples I can think of because you dont even need to pretend like the original didnt happen,"Our baseball team sucks AGAIN" isnt a complicated plot. You can reference the original, update the humor, have cameos and its all just fun.

They need to stop trying to remake and reboot beloved franchises that nobody is asking to have remade. Remake fun, make it fun and let people eat popcorn.

  • Hear me out here... I want more remakes. But remakes for the right reasons.

White Men Cant Jump was a good movie for 1992, but it was hardly oscar bait. The 2023 remake wasnt bad, it was a fun revisit. I enjoy it because it gives me the feeling they actually had fun making it. Do it with Major League or The Replacements, dont reinvent the wheel just make a VERY similar movie with serious actors who want to have some fun, break their mould, tell some dick jokes. Dont cast whoever is currently hot or someone I've seen in 28 contrived comedies. I want Timothee Chalomet and Benedict Cumberpatch as players with unusual names have an in character argument about who has the stupider name.

  • The fact is that Iran has been a thorn in the wests arse for a long time. There isnt a lot of sympathy there for a country we have heard a lot of "death to the west" and other general "nuke Israel" rhetoric from since the 1980s. Especially with more than a few arab immigrants to Australia being Iranian and having left because of who is in power.

The general sentiment IMO is that while The USA are doing their usual international meddling and we are fucking sick of Trumps bullshit, Irans leadership certainly did the international politics equivalent of saying "Go on hit me!" to the schoolyard bully for long enough that nobody really cares that the bully finally snotted him. There have been lots of protests about Israel/Palestine there has been very few about Iran in a country where there is a significant number of people from middle eastern origins, I think thats pretty telling.

  • Without getting too foodie about it. Its blandness is its strength, it adds moisture and a creamy texture to foods, especially salads sandwiches and tacos without using unnecessary oil or animal fats and it counts as a fruit/vegetable in your diet.

  • Because America already doesnt give a fuck about dead kids. Sandy Hook proved that.

  • This one doesnt rate for me.

You can throw a loosely packed snowball in a fun way and you can throw a compressed af snowball with intent to cause harm.

Show me the video because without evidence this could be anywhere from "stupid cop with stupid hurt feefees" to "Bruh you nailed a cop with a 88mph fastball for funsies, the fuck did you think was gonna happen?"

  • In all honesty single player GT7 is pretty much a training ground and sandbox for going online for real races. Which is fine if thats what you're there for but would probably piss you off if you werent.

Money does become a limiting factor once you start trying to complete the car collection menus or make sure you always have the meta car for the daily races.

  • Ok yeah I feel you, I do miss that to a degree.

Some of the single player is still pretty challenging until you figure out how to cheese the AI. Running race hard tyres and a super lean fuel map so that I'm 2 seconds a lap slower than the fastest car but dont have to take 45 seconds to pit in a 10 lap race.

  • As a member of the insulative layer of management between the floor and the corporate asshats I have to speak the language.

This translates to "Get the most no nonsense worker from every department up here, lets compare what they think we can do in a perfect world vs reality and have a look at what we can do to make the numbers look like what our bosses bosses boss wants to see, without cutting anyones hours or working any harder."
