MFW I remember that I traded for an EV, installed whole house batteries, and solar panels.

Only the middle class worries about lowering their utility bills. Up until recently, everything i listed had huge federal incentive programs. Trump got rid of it all.

Ughhh solar is so expensive now though and so many of those businesses are dying. I kept waiting for the subsidies but solar was not affordable :/

Now there’s no subsidies at all. Jelly.

Company started forcing remote people into the office, and when pointing out how much extra strain it causes from all the shit happening in the world was told well at least you aren’t paid off

We did a company-wide feedback poll and this was a top issue. Management brushed it off and said “Deal with it”

What’s better is when the boss is happy to throw money at dumb things (like redoing office cubes continuously, buying new hardware for said cubes, burning most expensive workers time like it’s nothing) and bragging about all the money we have except when it comes to you know keeping talent.

It came up on a leadership meeting at my company. As soon as the question came up, the CEO’s face pinched up into a pissy snarl. He then threatened us with coming in five days instead of four.

        What a miserable old cockstain.

As an American, I voted blue and we got an orange piece of shit. For every dime and nickel the American people are swindled, our friends overseas are also getting fucked by our tax dollars. Please boycott USA.

      “probably”

Separately yes, with the cost of just military operations, and then the long lasting side effects of this whole diversion.

But domestic spending to help citizens is too expensive.

This is not relatable to me. Tell me how much the average American has spent on gas since Iran started relative to before Iran.

I would love to know what percentage of American gas came from Iran. Did we just give gas companies a windfall in revenue when absolutely nothing changed for their production?

Look up a youtube channel called Mr. Global. He used to work some huge oil companies for decades, and ran his own for a bit. He breaks down a ton of this stuff.

For one, Iran is blocking a major shipping route for Iraq, Kuwuit, and Saudi Arabia. Even though we don’t import that much from there, the rest of the world does, and so supply is down, but demand remained the same. For two, the US oil companies are making record oil exports to these other countries that used to get their supply from the middle east.

I decided to search myself. Apparently, due to sanctions, there’s been no Iranian oil sold in the US for almost three decades. So… You’re welcome oil companies.

there’s been no Iranian oil officially sold in the US for almost three decades.

Fixed it for you. There’s no way none of Trump’s planet-destroying profiteer friends are getting special dispensations below or even above the table.

apply windfall profits currently enjoyed by fossil fuel companies to cover the shortfall the GOP claims to need to continue their war against Iran
