I think its more this as well. Also, Medicaid, which they likely had, and their children definitely had, would cover ambulance.

This was what I was thinking and feeling. Other grocery stores in other countries did not feel like they had as much variety
My eggroll Asian cookies were the most obvious. They were like $6 or $7 a box (damn inflation). Now they are $16. Damn those tariffs
Not sure how it happened but Nvidia CEO and AMD CEO are cousins. . However, he still made these direct statements. I would still take AMD.
Live in San Francisco and I am impressed with the Waymos. There’s a lot of four way stops and lots of pedestrians. They honestly drive better than most people. There’s a lot of times too where a car pulls up alongside another row of cars paralleled parked on the street and turns on their emergency lights to make a delivery or something. Waymos somehow check other side of the road and proceed around these cars going into the other side of the street safely.
Check out FitnessBlender.com. All home exercises and all free. However, for myself I found that I needed more structure so I bought a few plans like for $10 even though their videos are free. The scheduling kept me more accountable
TIL for me. One of my distant Uncles was adopted from South Korea during 1980s to America. Wow.
100%. Theres a lot of studies on DEI that shows it does save money while making people at work happier, more satisfied and better work outcomes overall. They’re really a win win for all.
My employer has DEI but to prevent cuts from funding, they just changed the name and kept the policies. Its unfortunate but its better than having these policies and programs cut.
Hello there!
I am a manager and I have staff that have different medical conditions. If you are in need of any accommodations at your work, check with HR or your boss for any options of alternative work schedules, protected time off, etc. There should be a department within HR if you have enough medical justification to have granted intermittent days off, shortened work hours (all this is “alternative work schedules or accommodations”).
You should have options to ensure your health is a priority and that your time to care for that is protected!!
I don’t have live TV but went to my in-laws that did one day and they happen to have it on. The number of predatory insurance commercials was insane and people believe these plans are better.
Keep your straight Medicare A and B folks. Don’t sign up for Medicare Advantage (Managed Medicare with private insurance managing the benefits.
"‘You have not tried all lower levels of care available in your area. You can learn to control your behaviors and stay at home. You can learn coping skills in your home. Your family can support you as you get treatment.’”
100% I believe they sent this to family… If addictions were so easy to manage we wouldn’t have all these addiction programs
I respectfully disagree after you try other EHRs like Cerner lol
I also haven’t heard complaints about Epic with bugs at least in my org. They are pretty user friendly especially when we have some staff that can barely type. The only complaint was documentation. Nursing documentation was tedious with like over 250 options for “adult assessment” but they’ve slimed it down to like 50 earlier this year for my healthcare system. Lastly, I think things work better the more money hospitals put in the EHR. I was per diem for another healthcare system. It was pretty cool how many other features they had than ours.
But overall CBP looks at funds. If someone can’t afford their stay, they become suspicious.
EDIT: Adding, they ask how much people intend to spend or call banks to verify
I don’t think it is common. I just know it happens.
The process looks like this..
Sort of a good example because it happens to be a traveler going into the United States for vacation, 5 weeks, 1.5k cash, but still denied entry. They always ask for purpose of entry, what itinery looks like, funds, etc.
There’s tons of backpackers, as a one bagger myself, I’ve never had trouble. I think its when you may have limited/no accommodations plus other factors: stories not lining up, limited funds, no/limited knowledge of itinerary, etc. That gets people in trouble. I think most people know where they are going, what for, and how they are going to do it.
Even as a US citizen I’m happy I’m not traveling internationally for a while though. Seems most people are free game regardless to CBP, citizen or not 🤮
I was responding to the original comment above : “Having not fully booked your accommodation for the entire trip could get you denied entry to the US before Trump. Just saying. Especially if you aren’t white. Same with not having an outbound ticket.”
Not to the strip searching, abuse, etc.
I agree it is absolutely heinous what is happening in the US and I wouldnt travel here either but the process of denying entry for a combination of limited/no accommodations, limited funds, varying answers, etc does lead to denial of entry in some countries.
It’s not the only thing. It’s a combination of limited/no living accommodations and no income. If you don’t have the income to stay for 5 weeks for example, they will send you back.I’m talking like going to Australia or US with just $500 or something for 5 weeks. I can cite some episodes when I get off work today and you can see the process.
Reading the thread. Most of you guys are not THAT short lol. I actually married my guy who is 5’1". He has a nice smile, funny and smart.
He has told me unfortunately that he has often been declined often by women due to his height. We have asked our mutual friends who said they won’t date someone who is that short which is unfortunate because they all love him too.
He’s pretty confident, professional, so people from work finally meet him in person, they are surprised he is not taller.
