    repeat 3x every day

  • Today is my last day of vacation and I'm also sick so the vibes are horrible. But I managed to make some progress this week.

I started using my drumming practice pad more often. I also started reading How Not To Age by Dr Michael Greger. It's a banger, like all of his books.

Next week I want to continue reading and using the practice pad regularly

  • I just blast myself with podcasts all day. Does it work? No, but it gets me through the day. I recommend Guys, Pew Pew Bang and Binchtopia

  • Can somebody name a single good thing that happened in the world in 2025? Other than the Mamdani win and Charlie getting Kirked

  • 2025 gave us this masterpiece so technically it's the best year of all time

  • I've said this before but I think that 2025 will be remembered as the year when you couldn't trust anything anymore. Future historians will look back on this year as the moment where a growing number of people couldn't tell the difference between AI and reality.

2025 is the year when we started asking - Is this image real or AI? Is this video real or AI? Is this person on the internet real or an AI chatbot? Is this person on the dating app real or an AI chatbot? You can even have a voice call where the AI chatbot can fool you.

I already hate this reality when you can no longer trust your eyes. If you cannot trust anything or anybody, it's gonna have horrible consequences on society.

  • I think Bugonia was also snubbed, it was a great movie

  • It's a complete overhaul that makes the game much more immersive and rewarding.

One of the main changes is that the enemies no longer scale with you. This means that you will sometimes run into enemies that are too powerful for you. But it feels great to return and beat them after you've gotten stronger. It feels like you're making progress all the time.

The combat is much more fun since enemies are no longer bullet sponges. Both you and the enemies are easier to kill so every encounter is meaningful.

The mod also has a subreddit and an active discord server where people are discussing different builds and role-playing stories. There are many more viable builds than in vanilla Skyrim. All of this makes the game better suitable for role-playing. I can't play Skyrim without this mod anymore.

  • You don't like it when the entire battleground and everybody in it is on fire? Pathetic

  • DOS2 is awesome, I like it more than BG3. I highly recommend it

  • My 2025 was not great. My dog died this year and I had 2 health issues that each lasted for months. On the positive side, I made a lot of progress with my habits and routines. I started running regularly and meditating around 5 days a week. At the end of the year I started playing in a band again, which is the best thing that happened to me in years.

    My priorities for 2026 are:

    1. Relax
    2. Socialize
    3. Exercise
    4. Art

Some of my goals for 2026:

    • continue running and meditating 5 days a week
    • practice guitar and drums regularly
    • actually finish and record my songs instead of getting bored with them and moving on to the next idea after writing 70% of the song
    • read regularly (ideally before bed instead of screens)
    • buy a DSLR camera

I'm cautiously optimistic for 2026 and eager to try my best. Good luck everybody!

    • Hades II - Good ass game.
    • Skyrim with the Requiem mod - Still the GOAT.
    • Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Good Metroidvania, frustrating at times but mostly good.
    • STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™- Fell off after 20 hours. Every planet you go to is a boring ass desert. I liked the first one better.
    • Age of Mythology: Retold - Still my childhood GOAT.
    • Noita - If you ever wanted to be a cat in order to cause as much chaos as possible, this is a game for you.
    • Cyberpunk 2077 - Overrated as fuck. The writing is not very good, which is tragic since 80% of this game is dudes yapping. It's simply not fun.
    • Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon - Good RPG in the style of Skyrim. How come we don't have 100 Skyrim clones by this point? Do game devs hate money??
    • Baldur's Gate 3 - Hot take: the combat in Divinity Original Sin 2 is way better. I hate the D&D system where you have to take a nap every time you cast a spell.
    • Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor - Fun bullet heaven game. Numbers go up.
  • Merry Christmas or, as I like to call it, "Introvert 9/11"

  • That's wild, I'm sorry to hear that. Post this in r/gradschool, maybe they will be able to help. If cash is an issue, ask in the mutual aid comm. Hopefully there's still time
