That seems like it’s probably the much bigger factor! Do you think that after a year or two of sobriety you might find yourself coming back to radical politics? Best of luck staying clean in any case, and sorry about making assumptions and causing offense.

No don’t apologize, you might’ve also been correct tbh. I think half a decade ago I was probably like top 2% or something and now I’m probably like top 3-4%?
Ironically achieving material comfort was a big motivator for me to engage in politics. I was more interested in helping others than myself at that point and also looking to self actualize more since I didn’t have to put so much energy into surviving and achieving financial security anymore
