I’m terrible. I have a bad post. Not a badpost, just a post about some bad stuff.

I am currently waiting at a dr office after getting vaccinations. I was exposed to a rather large sewage spill at work because my apprentice made a boneheaded mistake and removed my LOTO on a grinder pump and powered it on while I was working on the pump outlet. I expect to get pretty sick in the next day or two once everything I was exposed to takes hold. I got a tetanus booster, Hep A/B starter vaccination, an antibiotic injection, and two prescriptions for antibiotics and anti parasitic meds.

Not the badpost you were expecting, but a bad post all the same I think. Also, I had beans in burrito form yesterday so I am bean.

I was working on a sewage grinder pump for a 100 unit complex yesterday. I had the pump locked out and tagged out, I was working with it open and running an inspection camera to look at impeller blade damage with my hands inside the impeller outlet. My apprentice unlocked and powered the pump on while I was on top of it. It had a fair bit of untreated sewage inside the housing still and when it got turned on it flung said raw sewage, now nicely ground up into small manageable pieces, directly into my face, overalls, hair, down my shirt, and partially open mouth as I was talking to another apprentice to grab me some tools.

I spent the rest of yesterday getting multiple vaccinations, and filling prescriptions preemptively as the doctor I saw expects me to get ill from this. It’s almost 8am the day after and I am already feeling pretty bad so the dr was right, it seems.

Yesterday was a shitty day for me pun intended.

Jesus… did they get a serious rebuke?

Hope that it’s nothing major, and that the curative bean burrito does its job.

Yeah, he got the talking to of the century. Owner wanted to fire him on the spot. I got him to not do that, instead he got sent home early today.

I think I got really lucky. I was fishing around w my hand near the impeller about ten min before that with a small inspection camera. If the pump had been kicked on it very likely would have lopped off multiple fingers, if not my fingers and half my palm. The pump is intended to grind up sewage and push it uphill, It would have had zero problems removing my hand from my wrist.

The bean burrito probably kept me from losing my fingers preemptively.

        Heres my recipe:

        In a bowl, mix:

        • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
        • 1 teaspoon tajin seasoning mix
        • 1 teaspoon vinegar based hot sauce (franks or a store-brand equivalent or your favorite)

and set aside, giving time for the spices to infuse with the oil a little bit

Preheat air fryer to 350 and dry roast a can’s worth of drained and rinsed chickpeas for like 15 - 20 minutes, shaking the basket at least once during the process.

        Once this is done add:

        • 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast (optional, tastes nice and helps the seasoning adhere to the chickpeas)

to the seasoning bowl, whisk it vigorously before adding the chickpeas. Nutritional yeast can make things really pasty really quickly so only do this just before its time to toss.

After tossing the chickpeas put them back in the air fryer at 350 for another 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool before eating.

This recipe can be done on a baking sheet in an oven, I havent worked it out quite yet but I think adding about 25% to the cook times would work.

        I think.
