Would the US’s nuclear stockpile be enough to end life on the planet as we know it if all striking the same spot? Would the southern hemisphere be protected somehow?

  Ending life entirely is unclear, ending civilization would be the case even in a 40 medium yield warhead exchange between India and Pakistan.
