At this point, what is stopping someone from starting a “prediction market” on a random number generator? Just a straight numbers racket.

I read this long article about how in the old timey days people would figure out the bias of the roulette wheel (because nothing is actually perfectly level) and predict which numbers might be in that spot when the ball loses enough momentum to stop.
It’s the reason for the rule where you have to bet before the ball comes down and the ball has to go all the way around the wheel etc.

I don’t understand gambling. I really like games that involve strategy, even if there is a random component, but whenever it’s apparently against the rules to count cards or in any way give yourself a better chance of winning, I just don’t get it. So I won by complete accident? No skill on my part? Why the fuck am I even playing then?? This may be downplaying the serious addictive qualities of gambling, and I don’t mean to do that. To some people it is fun. I just really don’t get it.
When i turned 19 (legal gambling age here) my mom took me to a casino and I played slots while she watched. I hit the bonus round on like spin 3 and won like $20 (we were poor it was penny slots) and my mom is like cheering and I didn’t understand at all.
I just pushed a button and it says you win or you don’t win… ok? I like poker
It’s fun. It’s an adrenaline source. Winning feels great.
