Our strategic oil reserves vs their unreliable oil hoarding.
My neighbor told me markets keep eating his oil so I asked how much oil he has and he said he just goes to the market and gets more oil afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding oil to the market and then his economy started crying.
Given POTUS public feelings on China the last 10 years I’m surprised anyone would consider them a partner of the US in any capacity.
Right? We’ve made it extremely clear we’re doing everything we can to screw their ability to get oil, surround them with military bases, and crush their ability to be a sovereign competitor to the United States. It’s no secret they’re the end game in terms of all these wars and conflicts the US has been engaging in all over the world since at least Biden’s term.
When the US calls another country a “partner” what they mean is “obedient vassal.”
“China has been an unreliable global partner three times in the past five years; once during COVID, when they hoarded healthcare products, second on rare earth,” Bessent said, referring to Beijing’s threat last year to curb rare earth exports.
Threats that came in response to Trump’s tariffs. FFS, it’s one thing to spit on the status quo of international trade, but then getting pissy when other countries do the same, it’s so entitled.
