I’m always surprised when I find out certain online communities are so young. Some of the ones I find myself in tend to be more around my age, but it varies.
Also seems odd to refer to someone as “elder trans” based just on their chronological age vs how long since their egg cracked. I certainly still felt like a baby trans when I started figuring things out despite my age. And some of the people who seemed more like “elder trans” were probably younger than me, unbeknownst to me.
I’m glad the kids are finding their community more quickly. Being trans in the 1900s was a lonely, confusing time.

Its interesting to see the difference between that view and those who just stay in denial about being trans despite otherwise acting and saying extremely trans things.

One of my moms is trans, I’ve only ever heard her call herself this… and she’s literally a senior citizen.
Very glad you call her that <3, most of the trans moms I know are called Dad by their kids still.
I mostly go by their chosen name. She didn’t come out until I was 15 so it’s kinda confusing with the parental role thing sometimes. I refer to her to others as mother sometimes but usually not directly.
Then if I’m talking about my childhood I’ll often say “my dad” just cause that’s how it was in the memory, but then I immediately switch to feminine pronouns.
Might be some internal thing I should work on I dunno.
