  • Just because someone made you laugh, you still get to hate them. It's totally allowed.

...In fact, given how many comedians turn out to be pieces of shit, I would heartily encourage it.

  • You've got your head on straight, the last thing we need right now is sensationalist rhetoric and poor scientific ethics. It's a fun idea and he makes some good points, but this isn't how a serious person advocates for serious work.

  • I actually dig it. When playing as the little ghost, knowing it only as a creature of the void with "no will to break, no voice to cry suffering" sometimes made me wonder why I do anything at all. The protagonist felt like pure nothingness, literally an empty vessel for my will. It was a really cool way to bring the player in, put a piece of you within the fourth wall - but the narrative resonates more emotionally, and the character motivations are more legible, when you're participating as a person in a story.

  • 🛜💀🛜

  • Every*

  • You mustn't consider them brainwashed, the habits of an authoritarian follower are closer to a personality type. They just really enjoy reducing themselves and the whole of society in this manner

  • Yeah well you mainly hate the captain after that, if you survive to hate anything

  • Republicans are fewer in number but far more reliable voters.

  • Tactical Breach Wizards has been a lot of fun lately

  • I think they win this one

  • This is why I recuse myself from it, I can't think of a verdict that's entirely focused on rehabilitation instead of vengeance, but I do believe that any justice system worth submitting to should only be concerned with interventions that treat the disease and the symptom without prejudice. If someone is totally against that idea of society, don't you just destroy them as humanely as possible?

Éleuthère Irénée du Pont was very nearly executed during the reign of terror. It ended and his life was spared, only for him to go on to found one of America's most deadly family legacies and one of, if not the most wealthy and influential American family currently. Pity and clemency are noble virtues, but it is sometimes difficult to bear their erstwhile mistakes.

  • Hottest pick-up line imaginable tbh

  • Possibly, actually, and other adverbs.

  • Hot as in like, schizophrenic?

  • Milk sometimes becomes cheese or kefir. This is aging like a fresh prawn hidden in the piston of an office chair

  • Those poor savages back then, with tortoise shell particles in their blood probably

  • The innovation of high guard is so profound that it'll spawn a whole genre of games. They'll copy everything, even the name, but they'll use a thesaurus like high to over and guard to watch, that sort of cheap knock-off style of game you know? But gamers are too savvy for that kind of chump move.

  • I haven't watched the Olympics in several years. The IOC is so corrupt and the games are so bad for the people of host cities. I get the appeal but it's too much for me to overlook.

  • I mean, juries are chosen in part by the defense. You can't treat them as a fair sampling of a population. You have to visit a place, learn its history, get to know people who have spent their lives there, and ask them their genuine opinion. Only then can you truly know whether Texas is a spiritually cruel, intellectually bereft, and socially monstrous place.

Luckily, I can confirm this for you.
