As an Iranian, (the AI bots really poisoned that statement) - I think these memes are good because they redirect the news to something that causes internal pressure against the US administration.
The internal pressure isn’t really tangible though. It’s a spectacle, but I don’t really think any opposition is actually organizing around it like they do around other issues.
