Sigh, of fucking course he did. Anyways, the capital of Ohio would love to change its name, but I’m sure if they tried he’d be ranting about keeping historical names for American places.

Edit: there’s only one state that’s actually worth renaming and that’s Washington, solely because sharing a name with the country’s capital results in confusion more often than you’d like, and I swear to shit it better not be renamed to America.

Make every state add “of America” to its’ name and be done with it. Then we can move on to renaming every county, city, town, suburb, village, and burg.

I actually don’t have anything positive to say about America.

I guess I can say it’s better than China and Russia for a big country. And it’s nice that it’s big and people can travel between so many states too, each with slightly different culture.

China is barely smaller than the US, and what you think is a unified Chinese language is actually a bunch of mutually unintelligible languages in a trench coat.

The cultural differences between regions in the US are usually much smaller than ones in China.

The most obvious examples of this are the regions of Xinjiang and Tibet.

Well that’s not how names work. It’s “New Mexico” because it’s not Mexico of old, now is it, you dimwit, you absolute buffoon. If they had to change their name to anything “America”-related, they’d have to go with “Another Goddamn US State, Name Pending”.

Unfortunately you’ve all decided to let him actually run the country while you sit around waiting for your next opportunity to vote for a president, so we don’t actually have the luxury of ignoring his specious edicts because some of them do materially affect our lives.

I propose we go back to calling New York by older names - let’s call the state New Netherland and the city New Amsterdam!

Either that, or we create a new “American” language that purges all words derived from other, non English, languages… So most, if not all of our current words. I don’t know, maybe we just need to purge the non “white” words? What’s the current opinion on Spanish peoples, does Trump consider them “white”, would banana still be ok to use?

‘The most uneducated buffoon in history stands at a podium, bloated with self-importance, lips pursed like a carnival barker ready to sell turd milk to the unsuspecting. He grins a grotesque smirk stretched across his face as he scrawls his name onto a hollow decree, a sham celebration of the dismantling of knowledge itself. The Department of Education falls, not with a bang, but with wheezing verbs, suffocated under the weight of his own staggering ignorance. Surrounding him are the usual suspects: cowards in expensive suits, servile sycophants clapping like trained seals, and racist opportunistic ghouls picking clean the bones of democracy. Liars, fools, and thieves all parasites fattening themselves on the hardships of the many. They stand in rigid formation, dead-eyed and soulless, their allegiance sworn not to country, not to principle, but to power, and the dark, festering rot that clings to it. And there he is the convicted wrong, the living embodiment of septic tank spew, his voice a noxious fog of grift and grievance. He lectures the world on right and wrong, irony clawing at the walls, desperate to escape the grotesque theatre of his moral void. The stomach turns, the air curdles, and for a moment, history itself recoils watching, in horror, as the great American experiment teeters on the precipice, led by a man who couldn’t spell “precipice” if his life depended on it.’
