Their freedom to make the rest of society pay for their hobby.
He also said that it would result in an “age of abundance” where the cost of everything would drop dramatically.
This never, never, ever happens when they say it will happen. It’s always the opposite. Prices go up, jobs disappear, new subscriptions appear, etc.
So the assumption is that they could not exit the vehicle?
Gonna need some details on where they went.
“Brakes”, please.
I pointed out to someone that the SSP money for helping migrants was separate from the billions in the FEMA budget.
The response I got?
'I don’t give a shit. We shouldn’t be spending any FEMA money on illegals and should be helping Americans instead."
They don’t listen. They don’t care. They don’t want to know.
Who transcribed this? Seriously, people…
The big trend is that some money went to saving undocumented workers. So the republican outrage is that not enough money was available of the 20 billion dollars FEMA had at their disposal to help Americans because all the money got spent on “illegals”. I don’t even know if FEMA money got spent that way, the only money I could find was SSP and that would be 630 million out of the 20 billion FEMA had if it came from FEMA, but AFAIK it was budgeted separately.
A storm descends on a small town, and the downpour soon turns into a flood. As the waters rise, the local preacher kneels in prayer on the church porch, surrounded by water. By and by, one of the townsfolk comes up the street in a canoe.
“Better get in, Preacher. The waters are rising fast.”
“No,” says the preacher. “I have faith in the Lord. He will save me.”
Still the waters rise. Now the preacher is up on the balcony, wringing his hands in supplication, when another guy zips up in a motorboat.
“Come on, Preacher. We need to get you out of here. The levee’s gonna break any minute.”
Once again, the preacher is unmoved. “I shall remain. The Lord will see me through.”
After a while the levee breaks, and the flood rushes over the church until only the steeple remains above water. The preacher is up there, clinging to the cross, when a helicopter descends out of the clouds, and a state trooper calls down to him through a megaphone.
“Grab the ladder, Preacher. This is your last chance.”
Once again, the preacher insists the Lord will deliver him.
And, predictably, he drowns.
A pious man, the preacher goes to heaven. After a while he gets an interview with God, and he asks the Almighty, “Lord, I had unwavering faith in you. Why didn’t you deliver me from that flood?”
God shakes his head. “What did you want from me? I sent you two boats and a helicopter.”
Did they not pray hard enough to keep the hurricanes away? What makes them think it will work for them this time?
The fact that we have to watch a video about it is emblematic of the problems with Google and internet search.

And?
He will forget about it quickly. Until it comes back to haunt him. Then he will engage in mental gymnastics to justify it.
I really like airplanes, especially the historic ones. The speed and sound is amazing. The engineering and skill in building and operating those aircraft is top-tier.
However, the airshows often extoll the fear and damage the aircraft can do to their targets, especially the modern ones. Really not interested in the bodycount or terror these aircraft inspire, but plenty of people enjoy the flex.
If dems could control weather why wouldn’t they use it for the benefit of States they favored, like maybe ending the drought in California or putting out the wildfires there or in the PNW?
The founding fathers got a lot of things right in a broad sense. However, the lack of details really screwed us.
…who encourages illegal workers by emphasizing the bean counter bottom line so heavily that hiring cheap migrants is reinforced in order to pad profits. Then, the billionaires with the media empires and outlets stoke prejudice and fears against migrants.
