I’ve slowly gained the strength to get out of bed and actually get on my computer. I just picked up Forza Horizon 6 and bouncing between that, Gran Turismo 4 emulator, and civilizations 5.

Trying to convince my friend to play a non-modded copy of Pokemon R/B/Y and then we’d trade to complete the Pokedexes, but I don’t think he’s interested. So, IDK.

Played and beat Metroid on the Disk System :) it was bad :)

I had to get stoned to be able to tolerate it but once you just pull up a map to navigate its deeply empty hallways, it actually has more satisfying combat than Symphony of the Night. It’s distinct and also probably better than Romancia.

I’ve been keeping at my old faves. Trying to get Narin in Warframe (fuck those entropic eximus man), going for event quests in dbd, and trying to survive my first end times campaign in Total War Warhammer

Started DmC Devil May Cry and I get why everyone hates it. No lock-on button? The launcher is just B? Having to hold LT or RT to switch weapons? Awful design all 'round, to say nothing of the characters. I cannot BELIEVE they have Dante lampshade that he’s too cool to have his old white hair in the FIRST LEVEL. Also the enemies and levels are so fucking boring. Everything is that 360-era brown.

Played a Total Warhammer 3 campaign with a friend, but he got owned by Chorfs so we’ll probably restart. It wasn’t too far in anyway.

Still plugging away at Warframe. Got Narin and her weapons but need to get a second copy to feed to the helminth. Will probably just do Cascade or Flood and buy the rest of the parts with blueva because exterminate and armageddon are way too slow. Missing a single common part from a lith relic from the Citrine Prime release (for the steflos, specifically). 30% my ass. Did my archimedias this week and got 2 blue shards and one tau orange

i started a new world in terraria to try the whip stacking items i killed skeletron and the first accesoria is pretty easy to get and upgrate, it 3x the time the whip stacks last plus with an obisdian shield it gives 2 defence and knockback inmunity, really strong summoner upgrate.

i play a run in FTL with the federation ship and i got to sector 6 before dying to a barrage of missiles on my weapon systems. Am also still playing }ire emblem fates birthright, im in the invasion of Norn current elite units are the hoshido siblings plus mozu and silas, im kinda paladin spaming since its really strong, also im making hana a dread fighter so i have something good vs mages that isnt a pagasus knight

Gears of War: E-Day’s campaign is legitimately pretty great which surprised me. Didn’t know Xbox had it in them to make something that doesn’t suck ass. It’s not like Gears 5 had an awful campaign or anything but similar to Halo or Star Wars the new story arc they came up with was just impossible to give even the slightest shit about after the original games had a very definite ending. Haven’t played Horde yet, multiplayer takes some time getting used to since the movement’s all different.

Also finished Valkyria Chronicles 3 some time ago and it might be my favourite game in the series so far, at least as far as the story and writing goes. There is some questionable/gross stuff in there but that comes with the territory of Japanese anime games. A shame it never came to the west but that’s what fan translations are for. I’ll probably install 4 soon

Late, but okay. Sekiro Shadows die twice is my current game, after getting bored of Elden Ring because it just didn’t end. I know I was close to finish it, but I was bored as fuck already and I don’t play videogames to be bored.

I’m playing Pokerogue a lot lately. Trying to complete a Monotype challenge without retries even though i have never even beat the regular game without them. Also, i don’t have a lot of progress in the account so i don’t have access to good passives and egg moves that make the game easier, so it’s just been loss after loss but it’s very fun

I am playing Aion 2. Didn’t enjoy the stress test but I am having fun right now. Until now I had no need to spend money and I really enjoy the customization options. Damn do I look nice. Not sure why but the healer In this game, which I am playing, does tons of damage. Neat.

Finished control resonant and that game gets remedy good once you get into the final 2/3, the best stuff is towards the end absolutely.

Been working through dragons dogma 2 just trying to get a key that opens special door before I head into the expansion.

Temporarily putting down Final Fantasy IV 3D Remake to do the No Man’s Sky expedition while it’s still live. I finally worked up the energy to fire up the game last night and hoooooly shit, my inventory is a trainwreck. I don’t think I ever banked my stuff after the last expedition that I did almost a year ago. For whatever reason, I was sitting on about 40 stasis devices and a bunch of salvaged starship parts, so naturally I had to mule some of that into the expedition.

As for the expedition itself, I’m really enjoying it so far. Hello Games is sort of doing a victory lap on this one, where each milestone in the expedition mirrors a development milestone from the various updates made to the game over the last 10 years. After you complete each objective, you hop in your ship and Sean Murray narrates a little anecdote about that update, like how when the game’s Steam review score went from “Mixed” to “Mostly Positive,” they had t-shirts made for everyone at the office that said “Mostly Positive,” or how the Relics update got featured in an actual museum magazine column and was originally inspired by one of the devs playing Animal Crossing with his daughter.

After the expedition, I guess it’s back to FFIV. Pudding for the pudding god, tails for the tail throne, etc. Very psyched for FF: Resonance, though.

The new dlc made me boot up total warhammer again. They apparently gave the tomb kings a once over because of Nagash being introduced

Before I start. There is one mod that restores Neferata’s glowing eyes to her model, and it also gives her a boobjob. I don’t begrudge anyone their horny, but the fact that all the “thematic” reskin mods also either put the women in lingerie, make their outfits sheer, and/or give them enormous gazongas is impossible to overlook. Do you want the damsels to wear fancy color coded gowns? Sounds like you want them with D cups.

Anyway As I feared the introduction of Nagash has turned the whole thing ridiculous. Setting aside questions like “How is Azhag possessed by Nagash when Nagash is right there?” And “How is Arkhan and his “Followers of Nagash” an independent faction who get a super huge reward when they find Nagash’ body a thing when Nagash is right there”

Because the developers listened to the dipshit segment of their fan base they have stopped development on the narrative campaigns, and instead tried to put more narrative in the free for all. But because the map is huge and the AI is a joke it simply doesn’t work. If you play Khalida, the ancient mummy (Also, mommy) queen of Lybaras, beloved of the goddess of vengeance for her millenia long quest to fuck murder her cousin, the mother of vampires, you will literally never fucking see her. There will be no big confrontation because she starts next to the dwarves and the chaos dwarves who are tied for most beloved by the auto resolve, the thing the AI uses to decide who wins battles between them. If you try it the other way around, playing as Neferata, mother of vampires, queen of Lahmia, and you set out on your quest to return from your exile and rebuild the queendom of Lahmia, the realm of vampires and immortality, you will also never see Khalida because the auto resolve HATES tomb kings.

And in either case, if you’re playing Khalida 80% of the game is going to be listening to voicelines about “Bring me Neferata’s HEAD” (Direct quote) and “Kill the fucking vampires, no seriously. Im gonna murder the shit out of them” (Paraphrase) while fighting dwarves and saurus, two factions that do not give a shit about Khalidas archery bonus because they have a gazillion armour and/or kaijus.

So, Settra it is. They really can’t fuck up his narrative given that it is “I am the king, get the fuck off my lawn”. Except he still has the narrative hook of gathering the books of Nagash to activate the black pyramid (Already active)/Seal the books away (A mechanic that now exists that he does not have access to). But now he just sort of does it as a hobby or something.

Still, invisible mecha snipers and chariots with like 400 charge. Sure. Why not.

I’ve been playing Minecraft with a few friends which has been a lot of fun. Some of the projects I’ve enjoyed were fully walling in our local village and beautifying it. Another was when I made a rail system connecting each of the players’ houses and the local mob farm and to a central rail hub in the village. It’s been a really good way for me to decompress after work, and it’s also been a good way for my friends and comrades to have a more casual way to stay connected outside of organizing spaces or hangout days.

With that said, after sinking about a month into our Minecraft world, I’m really starting to get the itch to play Vintage Story again. Last year I rented a server for Vintage Story with some mods for my friends and I. I got all the way to Iron and almost finished my sailing boat before I burnt out. I’ve never done any of the story content yet and I want to sooo bad. Sadly, Vintage Story didn’t really stick for my friends, so I think I’m on my own when it comes to scratching this VS itch.

I’m an unbanked individual which means I can’t pay a hosting site, but if anyone wants to rent the server to start a peasant commune in Vintage Story and eventually industrialize into a small worker nation… I’ll be your voxel-based comrade 👉 👈
