We used to have an entire community filled with these sorts of Sesame Street memes, but I think it vanished in one of the early server deaths. Is there somewhere they still exist?

There was a bertstrips comm on .ee… pretty sure there was another one that took up the traffic but no clue what happened to it.

Ah yes, thank you, it was, indeed, bertstrips@lemm.ee. It looks like they tried to move to !bertstrips@moist.catsweat.com, but it’s been a year since anyone posted there.

RIP lemm.ee, it was an excellent server, and my previous home.

I can actually confirm that dropping a piano makes the characteristic BOOOOOONG sound that we all know. I’m not sure if they actually dropped a few pianos to record it… But I have personally dropped a piano off a ~10’ drop, (and was in the room when a second piano got dropped ~6’) and it sounded exactly like what you’d expect.

All of this is to say that if they didnt drop a piano, (because that’s risky and very expensive just for a sound effect), those foley artists were really fucking good at their jobs.

Question, if it dropped on your arm or something from that height would it be a guaranteed kill or would it just rip your arm off?could the energy mess up your core is my question

I mean, the energy alone wouldn’t kill you. I’d be much more worried about the wood shards that would explode out when it hit the ground next to me.

How the heck would anyone suspect Kermit doing that from the top of the Chrysler Building when he’s standing right there with Grover on the ground?

I bet Kermit was standing right there with him when the piano fell.

Kermit is not guilty of this crime.
