i might be wrong, but i feel like making hasan public enemy #1 and a face for the far left in the us just means that the epstein class is very comfortable and that they dont see genuine threat.

as far as i know hasans strategy is to let the americans see that voting even for very progressive candidates doesnt change shit and that will then make americans turn to socialism and become class conscious. I disagree with this strategy, there are numerous example of progressive candidates either winning and nothing changing or that progressive candidates like bernie having public support but getting kicked out, but still nothing happened, why would this work now? why hasnt it worked earlier? I also think that americans are already class conscious, most of them from my experience say “its not left or right its top vs bottom” which tbf means that they think the left is just liberals, but i think that is class consciousness no? they just have to be steered toward the left.

anyways, english isnt my first language and i practice speaking and writing it less and less so this might be a bit junky to read

on the other hand, at least one poll shows that US public support for the words “communism” and “socialism” have been ticking up. warning: libertarian think tank. support for the word “capitalism” has been dropping. and of course, public opinion towards the luigi stuff was a huge wake-up call. the fact that they’re trying to smear social-fascists as communists instead of just regular fascists could be a sign they’re trying to combat rising class consciousness. amerikkkans like to imagine themselves as rebels and mavericks. used to be that “rebellion” at least among certain classes meant voting for the liberal from the “opposition” party. maybe if they’re making it mean voting for the social-chauvinist, it represents a slight retreat. or maybe it means nothing.

i know the poll youre referencing but i havent really looked into the definition theyre using for socialism, im guessing its just the nordic model or whatever, but ill happily be wrong.

if hasan was as radical as the right wingers say he would at least be deported

oh of course. i make no pretension that any of these people are marxists-leninists. it’s just an indicator in my mind that the current way of doing things is becoming untenable. unlike other similar surveys, this one includes communism. i don’t think it means we’re on the brink of revolution, i just think it might indicate a degree of discomfort on the part of the US bourgeoisie. they’ve also put out a slew of media attempting to reaffirm that luigi is bad.

I disagree with this strategy, there are numerous example of progressive candidates either winning and nothing changing or that progressive candidates like bernie having public support but getting kicked out, but still nothing happened, why would this work now?

The reason nothing happened is because Bernie lost, defeat is what sinked the ship, not the mere act of trying, he ate total shit and then bent the knee to Biden, that action obliterated whatever nucleus of a workers movement was germinating in the US, a nucleus that if he had won would’ve grown out of his control and developed into something useful

The demonstration effect is only possible when these clowns win on a national stage, defeat and congressional randos getting elected but drowning in localism does nothing

The ruling class understands this dynamic, which is why after seven years of not giving a shit about Hasan, they suddenly decided to make him public enemy #1, because it’s simple, he boosted Abdul in the polls and helped make him a nationally recognized name. They saw someone who could trigger a cascade of national victories which creates a demonstration effect among the populace

      Hence the Hasan obsession
