They had the opportunity to not let their countries be used for this criminal war, they had the opportunity to at least be silent (even though it’s still a bad choice), and yet instead not only do they allow their countries to be part of this war, they have to use rhetoric to blame Iran for being attacked by Israel. They spent almost three years supporting Israel’s demonic behavior, which is also ramping up.

Nah, they got this coming; enjoy paying the fees; having human decency could’ve avoided all this, but they preferred living in their own weird little fantasy land where they’re the civilized human beings and the global South are scary, incomprehensible savages.

I think something that’ll stick with me forever is how shocked and frustrated a reporter was who was talking about how unacceptable it was that Ukraine, a Western country where wars don’t happen is now experiencing a war, and Trevor Noah put it so unimaginably succinctly when he said “Yeah because the coloreds are so used to it”; and that really is the best reflection isn’t it? Westerners who think wanting to live in peace is unique to the West while the global South is hearing this and getting frustrated that they’re unable to communicate that no, no, they also want to live in peace.

I’m reminded of something Lee Kuan Yew once said to a reporter who was asking about the high per capita rate of executions in Singapore, about how Westerners seem to think (Asians? Singaporeans specifically?) are unable to feel love like those in the West do, that they somehow love their children less than those in the West do, like they somehow think differently than those in the West do.

The global South is aware of this mental fantasy land that so many people in Western countries seem to be stuck in and they’re sick of it, because so many people are seeing them as lesser and it’s affecting them in many times horrific manners.

Sahel states trying to cut ties with France, Iran just taking charge here, the global South has options now and they don’t need to keep tolerating this dehumanization.
