Yeah, if the lesson you’ve taken from the last decade of American politics is that they used to be too hard on corruption and they’re doing things right these days, you are probably very corrupt.

The cons now feel empowered by Donvict to say the quiet part out loud. I bet roughly the same amount of people embraced these terrible notions before, however.
I grew up in the aftermath of Nixon resigning in disgrace, in a deeply red area, and I cannot count how many times I’d hear some butthurt old redneck bitching about how Nixon was given a raw deal by the “Jewish-owned media” and so on.
