Not just a ‘Sean Connery movie’. The Rock has Sean Connery, Nicholas Cage, and was directed by Micheal Bay, it was basically an early distillation of what movies in the 00’s would look like, 7 years before it’s time.
It’s also pretty good. It has the most ridiculously gratuitous car crash/explosion scene I have ever seen. I am pretty sure the car crashes for nearly a full minute and explodes three different times.
I personally love the ongoing theory the movie was a sort of but not really James Bond sequel, with Sean Connery being a Bond whom got burned by MI6 and stuck in Alcatraz

It has the best hog on hog firefight where you get to see a whole-ass SEAL team get shredded from enfilade by the chud veterans, it’s just great gratuitous movie violence, it left quite the impression

It has the most mismatched car chase in cinema history, where a hummer is chased by a corvette and somehow manages to keep a good distance on it.
According to this fan theory you can also watch it as the final Connery Bond film.
