It’s interesting how easily people are manipulated by fear of ridicule. The right is very good at manipulating people this way and people need to learn how to spot it.

Replicating their media strategy when they have a propaganda budget in the billions, literally own the platforms and are in line with the entire ruling class and its superstructure while we have nothing but the best interests of the masses has always been a dead end, even if we discount how obviously horrible it is to learn from literal fascists how to become an abusive manipulator. This is pure, distilled posting is praxis garbage, go touch grass.

First of all calm your armchair scolding ass down, I didn’t make the claim that posting all on its lonesome is going to save the world or that you literally copy verbatim fascist talking points, you uncharitble ass

I’m SAYING propaganda is important, particularly counter-propaganda, unless you want to sit there with a straight face and make the argument that radicalization through media (online or otherwise) has no bearing on modern politics?

And lastly we are sucesssfully competing against the billion dollar media empires of the capitalist class, because unlike them our ideas are actually popular, so you can stuff that bloated defeatism in the same place you found that delusional interpretation of my take

Is there a raffle box where you scolds take out the dumbest possible interpretation of my take? Did I say all we have to do is create a bunch of cringe sock puppet accounts?

Maybe I was talking in generalities and not one specific tactic of the right, maybe I was alluding to the UNCOMPROMISING and RUTHLESS nature of right-wing media and suggesting there could be lessons to learn there for the left

I’d say it’s the most obvious interpretation of your 1 sentence comment. But given your further comments I’ll take that this is not what you meant.

But you can’t be mad that people will interpret “we should do the same” as “we should do the same”.

Yeah, the most “obvious” if you dont think about it for more than two seconds

The last three words “against the right” should have cleared up any misunderstanding, but of course the point wasn’t understanding, it was to get a scold in and lecture for the sake of dopamine

But guess what, I’m not some lib who just crawled in from r/politics, you pull that annoying reddit shit on me, I’ll throw it back in your face with interest

My cereal is fine, but with respect the mere suggestion that fascists get back a little of what they dish out seems to have soured yours, how strange

I hope nobody interprets that in a uncharitble and obnoxious way and implies things about your character

You literally said “we need to copy this” as a reply to “nazis are good at manipulating people through fear of ridicule”. That’s the entire point you were making. How charitable do i have to be when you explicitly say “we need to learn to argue just like an abusive internet nazi making up a bunch of fake ass bs to own the SJWs”? Of course that makes me uncomfortable, it’s kind of a valid concern that you will not just use that to get back at the fascists, and the way you immediately jump down my throat at the tiniest pushback and make up a bunch of accusations against me proves my point fairly well. I’m just gonna block your hostile cranky ass, this isn’t going anywhere.

So you hyberfixated on a throwaway word on a throwaway comment and thought that was enough to accuse me of wanting to copy the right verbatim and become a “abusive manipulator” and now your mad cause I pushed back on that bullshit accusation?

                  against the right

Wtf did you think I meant when I typed those words? You seriously thought I was saying “we should create sock puppets and accuse the right-wing of being cringe liberal feminists” you genuinely think that’s my train of thought?

This is why charitably is so important, least of all because it prevents you from picking unwarranted fights

and the way you immediately jump down my throat at the tiniest pushback and make up a bunch of accusations against me proves my point fairly well

You are correct. Of course the right has endless resources, they’ve engineered society for that, with the Democrats assistance the entire way. That doesn’t mean we can’t fight back.

The massive US military has been getting smoked by dudes in Nana’s housecoats and turbans for decades, and before that, pajamas, who figured out ways to destroy their enemy on a shoestring budget. Remember in Empire Strikes Back, the giant At-At walkers seemed unstoppable, until a tiny jet wrapped a cable around its feet.

We can, and are, doing that on a massive scale. While they are controlling the broadcast system, we can use the Internet to have an even bigger reach, and deeper impact. The entire progressive movement has happened online, and it will get stronger after tonight’s primary results.

And when we do regain power, we need to suppress their abuse of “Free Speech.” There is no reason we have to accept defamation and outright lies as normal political discourse.

That takes Critical Thinking Skills, which the right actively opposes, especially in educational settings. They claim that it teaches students to defy authority figures like parents, teachers, and clergy.

Yes and No. It doesn’t teach them to defy those people, it just teaches them how to identify statements and demands by those people as bullshit.

And they don’t like it when we call out their bullshit.
