Citizen Vigilante starring Armie Hammer. It came out recently and I saw it on an arg yee matey site. Within the first scene it was already clear what it was. It’s about some guy hunting down and killing “criminal migrants”. And of course the people love him in the movie. It’s like Nazi Batman I guess.

The first scene is some mom and her kid in a store and then some brown dude slits her throat for no reason and her blood spurts everywhere while the kid watches. Then it cuts to a fake newscast where they’re like “more immigrants doing crimes. Luckily we have a random white male murderer here to save the day!”

I didn’t watch the rest of it after I realized what it is but damn if it isn’t the most Euro™ thing I’ve ever seen.

  • Sanders is an American man frustrated by the lack of public justice regarding immigrant perpetuated violent crime and decides to take things into his own hands by becoming a vigilante.[3] He sets out to punish both the violent immigrants perpetuating crime in his city and the corrupt officials that protect them.[3] As his vigilantism increases, so does his public profile, winning public support as a hero figure, as well as the attention of Henry, an Interpol chief, who views him as a threat to society.[3]

he’s… an immigrant though?? he’s in fucking croatia??? so like honestly it’s a little worse than you characterize it as, homegrown fascists killing immigrants is bad enough but this guy is basically a tourist to kill immigrants

I want to make a movie where white people are shown like stereotypical movie brown bad guys. And like thats it thats the whole point of the movie. Call it Seethe.

  • how can people waste their time watching slop like that when there are seven Tremors movies to get through? And a TV show?

and, sorry to be pro AI slop here, but I saw a slop post for a fake “Tremorn8tor” and I’m sorry I am so there for that. I know Burt Gummer has a don’t tread on me flag but he’s such a weird little Dale Gribble I can forgive him for it

He’s made some real bad video game adaptations. Far Cry, Alone in the Dark, Postal, BloodRayne, and House of the Dead. According to wikipedia, he only really has a career because of a financial scam the german government had until 2006 where his investors would get 50% of what they invested back in subsidies.

  • your description of the opening scene reminded me of the opening scene from Sicario 2, the most absurd reactionary fever dream of Taylor Sheridan. i thought it had to be a misunderstanding when i first saw it.

basically, it shows a bunch of migrants crossing into the US through the mexico border and then like a handful of them peel off from the group and run into a walmart, whip out machine guns, light people up and do a suicide bomb to kill a bunch of shoppers and the deal is that they were al qaeda and snuck in with a bunch of like rando families using a coyote. like some truly Invasion USA fantasy. this was a movie written by chuck norris literally described as a warning to “wake up americans” to the dangers of immigrants.

Norris said he got the idea to make the film after reading an article in Reader’s Digest that said hundreds of terrorists were running loose in the United States. “I thought, ‘Boy, that’s scary,’” he said. “‘What if some guy on the order of a Khomeini or a Khadafi mobilized those guys and started sending them out to every major city?’… I know it’s going to happen, and even in the movie, the head terrorist says, ‘It’s so easy because of the freedom of movement in this country.’ So we’re really accessible to this. The movie is not meant to scare people, but to make us aware of a potential problem.”[8]

“We’re trying to make a statement here”, he added. “This is about the people of the United States.”

because of course that’s totally a real thing in TS’ cooked brain.

  • The only thing i know about “armie hammer” is that he was me tooed. But ive always wondered why his parents named him after a baking soda company???

Movie title reminds me of Citizen Kane, which Ive never seen. Is it trying to insinuate itself into association with anti Nazism?
