So it is kind of like an adult lemonade stand. Buy cheap thing. Mark it up. profit. Minimal effort.

What exactly is a pride themed vendor market? What is a vendor market first of all? I’m imagining like a lemonade stand, but for adults. Am I very far off?
I can’t wait to watch it out of morbid curiosity from my Debian machine. Don’t use windows at all anymore so now it’s kind of like watching those videos on youtube where people make stupid mistakes while driving and the dash cam catches it.

My ideal would be as soon as you type the command that doesn’t exist it says, “Oh, that command is from 1.[package], 2.[package], and 3.[package] but you don’t have them. Do you want to install them now? [1, 2, 3 to select which, no for none, or all for all.]”

I think reading that gave me a stroke

I use Gnome and have for awhile. It is best used very differently from a windows style DE. If you want to see everything that is open take three fingers and swipe up on the track pad. Glance at activities, and then swipe down again to return to what you were doing. or click on something to switch tasks. I mainly use the bar at the bottom to launch applications I use a lot. It’s not something I use to switch tasks.
For organization I’d reccomend using multiple desktops. You can swipe three fingers right to get to a fresh one and open things there then swipe back and forth between them easily. It’s a very different experience to something like KDE and isn’t for everyone.
As for extensions I’d reccomend getting: Blur My Shell AppINdicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support AlwaysShowTitlesInOverview Coverflow AltTab JustPerfection Lock screen Background Weather O’Clock
These give you a lot of customizaton options and make it look nicer imo.
If you are not a fan of the big gesture focus (it really is more like a mobile OS) then you might think about simply switching to a different DE. It’s easy to install one and you can log out and switch over without reinstalling your distro. KDE is much more of a traditional desktop OS and similar to Windows. I personally love the way Gnome is but I get it isn’t for everyone.

Is it a gay bar?

My only gripe with the way it’s handled is that the DEs will name the actual program “Files” and if you have multiple different file explorers installed they are ALL NAMED FILES! If we’re doing unique names just put the unique names on there and maybe have it say (Files) next to the name. It’s confusing.

Don’t even get me started on when the main command for a package is something like “fastfuck” and you dont have it so you type sudo apt install fastfuck and its not called that in the fucking debian repo! So you have to start doing apt search package to find it. Until finally you realize the package is called “fuckfast” or something else slightly different.

What is your goal in posting this? To simply paint working class people as largely anti-trans and then say you don’t support their rights because of that? If they don’t support your rights and you don’t support their rights I hate to break it to you, but you are no better than they are. Both you, and them, are operating from a position of individualistic ignorance and selfishness. Only caring about issues that directly effect you without realizing EVERYTHING effects you because we all have to live on the same planet. Working class people being undereducated and overworked and struggling to survive is exactly why so many of them fall for anti-trans propaganda. The very propaganda that is made by the RICH by the way. The sort of mindset your showing now is playing exactly into the hands of the rich who made that propaganda too. They want us divided. Fighting amongst ourselves. They don’t want intersectional solidarity. But you do you I guess.

If I were you I’d have fun with it. Submit absolutely insane AI generated resumes to shitty companies. Apply to microsoft and be like “I have extensive experience making things worse. I’d be a perfect fit at the company.”

Oh okay I thought you were talking about the asmon guy

I like how she says, “Israel got 0 votes.” and then just sits there. As if thats a question. Like, yes they got 0, your point is?

I’m so confused.

I’m barely aware of who this guy is but see him as the ultimate example of American decline. Just a pathetic slob sitting around saying racist things and making money doing it. Atleast during the cold war they had some self respect. Even if the US was a pit of depravity then too. They took showers. It’s like the rot has seeped into every aspect of their lives.

Because its not about the costs. It’s about making sure workers stay desperate and destitute. So they can’t organize.

I actually think the single most useful AI task is translating into corporate speak. You can say “Write an email telling Janet to go fuck herself but politely.”
And it’ll be like “Good Afternoon Janet, I hope you are doing well today…” bla bla.

Please, the tokenmaxxing meta can do better than this. Put a temperature sensor outside a data center running the AI then have the AI check temperature changes in real time and write essays on why it might be changing. As it works the data center rises temps and it has to write more as temps change. Self reinforcing token burning.
I got a Latitude 7400 for like 200$ a year or so ago. They’re pretty good if you throw linux on them and just want to do web browsing and basic office tasks. Built like tanks. Have a shitty little fan that whines like crazy but i just locked it to 2.5Ghz and the fan never runs.
