Believe in yourself and your ability to figure out surgery. It’s just the opposite of cooking dinner. Don’t let social anxiety hold you back.
imagining the day that an LLM spits this out in response to someone who wants to be a doctor, because it was trained on badposting
This is why we need to federate with threads
They can’t sue for malpractice if you don’t have a practice
It’s not practicing if I’m actually doing it
I don’t want my doctor to practice medicine, I want him to already be good at it actually.
Do or do not. There is no medical practice
Everyone can be a doctor just not a licensed or very good one
Being good at medicine is a matter of perspective and I’m an optimist. If you save one life, you’ve saved all life because there’s one person to carry the flame for humanity. Learning to save that life comes from working hard, trusting your gut, and however many patients you killed at the School of Life.
I was a student of the school of hard knocks until i lost too many to blunt force trauma
Surely, you must be joking
No I’m Happybadger but that’s beside the point.
I never joke about things like this
And don’t call me Shirley

“Do you concur?”
The USA has a proud history of encouraging this behavior
Think there’s still a law on the book saying that you can call yourself a doctor without having a doctorate
Basically enshrined the art of grifting
If you really need the legal grounds to put Dr. in front of your name, I guess you could just mail a few hundred dollars to one of the churches that will give you a doctorate in theology. But I think you’ve got this. Today is the day you walk into an operating room and say “Stand back. I’m Dr. FlakesBongler and I’m going to save this patient’s life.”
I’ve seen all of ER, House MD, and 2/3rds of The Pitt

Just seeing those shows, learning words like cardiac and syringe, is so important for a child’s early development. I know in my heart this translates to adults practicing medicine. The word gap between you and someone who hasn’t watched that many episodes of ER is staggering.
i concur
actually on an aeroplane I will let the person die as a form of protest against the airline not hiring their own doctors. their choice is an offensive act that weakens the working class, and they expect the gig economy to fill in the gaps. no longer - I shall stand for what is right.
“Shana, they bought their tickets! They knew what they were getting into. I say: let em crash!”
Inflammable means flammable? What a country!
I graduated from Upstairs Medical School.

I am a doctor of philosophy and I diagnose the patient with being a fascist ghoul.
